The Great Wall is a massive limestone cliff located approximately 45 minutes drive North West of Yangshuo. This impressive cliff is located deep in the countryside, is situated high up on a hill and offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. The crag is north facing and is in the shade all day until late in the afternoon. Climbs on offer include multi and single pitch routes. The crag sees little traffic and there is some loose rock so helmets are recommended. The cliff is relatively remote with a mountain like feel about it, so it’s more suited to competent experienced climbers.
Most local villagers welcome climbing and do not present any problems. However, certain crags have had historical issues. If there is signage at any crag asking for small donations (1-5rmb for vehicle parking), please be willing to pay. This money goes directly to the local villager whose land we are using and supports the local associations' agreement with the villagers. The money is minimal and the result has been very beneficial to resolving any issues. Thank You.
This crag does not have approach information. Could you describe the approach to this crag?
