Summary

Deserted, shady and small crag in the big Walser valley.

Description

The crag at the Wandfluh is a small west oriented crag away from the big hype. The difficulties of the solid bolted climbs are in the range 3 to 7. In the course of an extension carried out in spring 2010, a third sector with five additional routes were opened ranging from 5 to 8.

Approach

The easyiest approach starts from Sonntag-Stein. The village Stein is reached by the cableway Seilbahnen Sonntag. From there it goes in about 30 minutes towards Steinbild. In the first bend after the barbecue area, follow the signposted walk.

Those who want to hike all the way up park at the cableway bottom station or the sports ground of Sonntag and follow the hiking trails in 1.5 (steep) or 2.5 (gentle) hours to the top of the cableway. From there as described before.

Mountainbikers may use their bikes.

Where to stay

In the area there are a lot of small huts were you can stay. Of course in the valley you will find hotels and other accommodations.
