Probably the prettiest boulder ever! Super mega physical. Flat slopers on one side, small crimps on the other. Mega compression. Can't wait to go back to send it!

Super-enduro traverse on great rock. 25 or so moves! No one move is really hard, just one or two V3 moves. Second day on, ran outa juice. Will hopefully go next session, when we don't take a dog in heat out camping in a campsite with very interested male dogs.

Started more to the left than the original start. Doesn't add a grade, just makes it more solid. Nice traverse on slopers, really fun

Maria's pretty close to getting this one. Similar in style to Cyborg, but more delicate, I found. Another flash, awesome

I kinda loved the sequence on this one, complex and technical for sure, yet strong in the core. 3 techy moves, then easy slab. Happy days!

Not that much of a V4. One powerful move to a crimp then easy. Meh!

On our second day on, in the first dedicated bouldering weekend in Bernal, was feeling kinda stiff and a bit tired from the day before. This fit my style perfectly: strengthy yet techy moves on slopers. Happy for the flash

What can I say? Perfect name. Steep jugs into a slopey and crimpy mantle. Probably one of the best V1's in the Universe.

Also pretty awesome- love the horizontal pinch feature! Start is easier than it looks, and the mantle harder than it looks.

More like not so easy. I think this is more of a V2/3, unless I did it the wrong way. Little feet, either crimps or slopers. Really good line, though.

Right hand variant of Desperado. Also very enjoyable but exposed!

This side of the boulder looks like a lot like the bark of the trees at Joe's. Very aesthetic for sure. Gotta squeeze a bit at the start, but flows very well afterwards. Loved it.

Awesome slab boulder. You actually find people in the US who enjoy slabs. Not used to that because in Australia everybody seems to hate 'em. Could finally come out of the slab closet

First proper day at Joe's. Went straight to this boulder because it's the first one you encounter in the (very pleasant) approach. Nice arete climbing with a somewhat techy mantle. Enjoyable.

Was kinda bored, so got on this chossy but nice line. Fun!

After driving from Farmington, NM, we arrived at the paradise that is Joe's Valley. Pitched the tent on New Joe's and went exploring. Found some guys with guidebooks and they let us take photos of it (thanks guys!). After that, I flashed this outstanding techy line with heel-toe cams and technical mantle. Awesome start of an awesome trip

It's very tempting to cheat on this one. One hard move, then steep jug haul.

Pretty soft for V5, probably more like V4. Just long, tensiony moves.

Easier than V0. More of a downclimb from the boulder.

Excellent techy traverse on rooflet. Can't remember the exact date. Easy finish. Nice n' low.

Thus started my journey towards V7! In a couple of unusually hot mid-November days, we sat underneath this beast. Even though pinches and slopers suit me well, my body measurements were just wrong for this climb! Couldn't make my life easier by using heel or toe hooks. Extremely powerful, managed to do all the moves individually (and I mean INDIVIDUALLY), and tried until Manny from team USA climbing told me it was more like V9 the next day... So I decided to leave it for another trip! Rad!!

Amazing core intensive, heel intensive movement along the lip of an overhang on great holds. It's all about stamina

Did this before trying the V6 eliminate variation. Way too much sun- fun traverse though!

Jug city- be careful at the end, though! Half in the sun, which is considerable!

Great moves to great holds. Perfect Joe's rock texture. Shoulda come to New Joe's before! Less cold and more scenic. Also, hanging around is easier and less crumbly (in other places of Joe's I felt like in a mix of Brooyar with Slider just hanging around). Gotta keep the body tension on this one! Just about not pumping out. Power endurance! Stoked about the flash

Similar to Unnamed 3, I found it a bit easier.

A total sandbag. A beautiful, chalked knife's edge of a sandbag. More like V3, a tension traverse with a touch of endurance climbing. Simply awesome.

First two problems in Yosemite that don't require some kind of effort, but only delicacy and technique (and a bit of self-belief). Techy slab into a careful mantle. Watch the descent!
