This route needs an R rating, you can get two pieces of gear down low and then your next placement isn't until well above ground fall potential. The moves would feel easy enough on a top rope, but with the weight of your trad gear it felt super sketch.

Didn't follow the route exactly, pitch one as normal, pitch two and three linked together but rather than heading to the right arete cave for pitch 3 I went straight up to the left arete cave as it offered shade from the afternoon sun. From the left cave belay headed back out right onto the face and finished as per normal. Great route, great protection.

Very Enjoyable, once draw to draw to check out the holds and clipping stances, sent in next attempt.

Final climb of an 8 route day, really enjoyable despite sore feet, a worthy addition to any day's outing at boobook.

Really enjoyable and engaging climbing requiring a good trust in your feet. Stays quite consistent.

A worthy and typically engaging climb, well bolted to keep a consistent spice through to the finish.

A couple of places where you are made to think and pucker that sphincter as these slabs tend to do.

Not as simple as it looked, does actually have a noticeable crux despite the short length. Probably a good introduction to the area, without the additional endurance required for longer better boobook routes.

Simple though the move to the anchors at the end still felt spicy as rock hadn't fully cleaned up yet.

Pleasant and will improve with more traffic.

The best of the 4 short sport routes in this wall, good rock, and consistent, probably a great first lead for those new to leading, slab climbing, or both.

Nice features, the crux was engaging, the rest of the climb less so.

Route climbs some nice features, the closer bolting does slightly subtract from the regular experience as it is less engaging than many other routes at the boobook crag but it is still a nice route.

Good quality rock, felt comfortable despite the bolt spacing. Probably not something to do as your first climb at the crag, but worth it once you've got your head into the style.

Second time on this and still a fantastic route.

Claimed the life of my favourite shorts! This was an enjoyable thrutch fest. Accidentally climbed past the anchor 5m before realising and down climbing back to it.

The crux of the climb is down low and well before you get any protection so despite the easy grade it can feel spicy, gear once you get it is all good and plentiful. Not as easy as it looks from the ground.

Nice solid rock once past the dark stuff, enjoyable slabbing on good features, great aspect and well bolted.

Nearly took a fall, fortunately foot happened to land back on a lower edge saving it. Had a lot of fun on this one, really nice features and rock, engaging bolting a good way to warm up the nerves for Cape Fear. The final arete and dish are a bit cruisy compared to the rest of the route though still plenty engaging without clipping the last three bolts.

The dangerous flake is a cool feature, hope it stays on the wall. Requires a little more care than some of the other routes, still enjoyable though.

Climbed cleanly through the technical start and past the crux but popped a footer off in the run out and took a good clean whip. Pulled straight back on and finished it off and with the extra feeling on edge after popping off the footer making the route really live up to the name. Very enjoyable.

Varied climbing, good rock, and a nice perspective of the crag make for a climb that while easy is well worth doing.

First Pitch: Gear can feel a little exposing for the first 5m or so, and this is probably the crux. Fortunately there are good feet and comfortable stances to place the trickier gear. After that it eases up till the bolted slab section which is a change of style from the start but is plentifully featured. Nice solid rock and varied climbing makes for an interesting and enjoyable climb.

Second Pitch: The big chimney needs big gear but is super easy and secure. Just enjoy the cruise to the top for the view. Both pitches have very nice spacious belay ledges.

First Pitch: Nice solid rock and large features make for a nice route. Just a pity it doesn't continue. As the angle eases the good rock and features remain but it becomes easy enough to really be a walk toward the end. Despite this it is still a worthwhile route on nice rock and a great introduction to the area. Recommend this one over sporty scramble. You could also walk out left from the anchors as an access to BowerBird Den

Second Pitch: Traverse really nice large features which means you get to tour a lot of the wall very comfortably, which is enjoyable. When you switch to vertical movement again on the slab it will feel less secure but is very simple. Gets you to a nice top with a great view.

An enjoyable route that changes character and climbing style throughout. When the difficulty and angle eases post crux the moves are still delicate enough to keep you feeling engaged, leading to a sustained feeling and enjoyable route. Quite unique for the area being much steeper though shorter than other routes.

Nice slab climb on good rock with interesting features. Bolt spacing keeps the easy sections engaging, overall a really enjoyable climb, and super long! Less calf burning than boobook because they're are some good heel down rest stances.

This is the scramble to get to the top for bolting or to get down after a top out. Mostly isn't required but good to know about in case you started up one of boobook's many 35+m routes with only a 60m rope.

While this crack is on a slab angle it's flared nature keeps it very engaging, as does the adventurous minimal bolting up the slab to finish. If you like to enjoy that thrilling feeling while on a technically easy mixed climb then this one shouldn't be missed.

Enjoyable cruise up plentiful edges, quite sustained in style so becomes a good calf workout. A beautiful place to be and a different style of climbing to what most of Townsville offers.

The top is golden the rest is pretty nice, pity about the lack of gear near the start otherwise I'm sure it would get a lot more leads.

Powerful at the start and an interesting mix of crimps and balancey high block steps for the rest. Pretty fun and a good aspect.

Really nice sustained route, my new project, burly through the lower half, balancey and delicate through the top half. Just how I like em.

Climbed just the first pitch to check out the routes that leave from the ledge, and see if it makes a good beginner lead... it doesn't.

Really enjoyed this climb, kind of sad it only took 3 shots as I was really psyched for working it.
