Tue 2nd May 2023 - Mountain Quarry
Anal Flencing Boulder | ||||||
V8 | ★★★ Anal Flencing Direct — 5 attempts | ★★★ Mega Classic
Had a great night session with Cedric and Laura. Broke a foothold but Ced found some better beta for going to the last move. Climb gets better and better the more you do it. Mega classic
Fri 3rd Mar 2023 - Mountain Quarry
Anal Flencing Boulder | ||||||
V8 | ★★★ Anal Flencing Direct — 8 attempts | ★★★ Classic
Feels like the moonboard! Holds are decent enough but high enough to be exciting. Climbs better than it looks. Really enjoyable. Well done Woody!
Tue 17th Jan 2023 - Mountain Quarry
Trackside Boulder | ||||||
V7 | ★★ Balls Deep in Gnar — 9 attempts | ★★ Very Good
Felt like V12. Bush bashing, afternoon sun blazing the rock and my pant fly constantly unzipping cause of recent weight gains definitely made me question the conditions. Took me a while to get the first move, wasn't a good idea to warm up on that move. Took a few more send attempts to engage core and try hard.
Sun 8th Jan 2023 - Roleystone
V8 | ★★★ LG — 6 attempts | 3m | ★★★ Classic
Awesome feature with cool moves. I was too weak to do it the way Andy did in his video. Had to use some alternative beta.
Sat 24th Dec 2022 - Roleystone
V9 | ★★★ Claim to Shame, sit — 7 attempts | ★★★ Classic
Xmas Eve morning send! Great crew and fun times. Was struggling to use the toe hook beta that some of the boys were using for the start. Managed to do the catch. The top is pretty exciting especially if you blow off, you will land in the trees like Dave did today! Also the stand feels harder than a V2, maybe more like a solid V4?
Sat 17th Dec 2022 - Mountain Quarry
Carpark boulders | ||||||
V8 ~V4 | ★ Mission Ignition — 6 attempts | 2m | ★ Good
Managed to do this statically whilst sitting on my right foot. Think doing it this way is very reach dependant, I was borderline. Struggled getting the right hold well for a few goes, then borrowed my friends knee pad and it was like cheating. Turned something hard into V4 thanks to the kneepad.
Fri 16th Dec 2022 - Roleystone
V5 | ★★★ Claim To Shame — 6 attempts | ★★★ Classic
Big moves. Top moves are pretty committing.
Sun 4th Dec 2022 - Boulder Rock
In-stink area | ||||||
V8 ~V9 | ★★ Use Your In-stink — 9 attempts | 5m | ★★ Very Good
Struggled to get the first crimp, had to use some trickery instead of thuggery. The top out is definitely not a gimme. Would suggest brushing off moss off the smears and the top "crimp". I found myself clinging onto that crimp and looking down to decide which would be the softest looking tree I would dive for if I slip. Even after moving my feet up onto the smears and crimping for my life, there wasn't anything positive higher. Thank God I found the right jug by chance!

Fri 25th Nov 2022 - The Balkans
The Frontline The Far Side
V5 | ★★ The Bright Side — 2 attempts | 2m | ★★ Very Good

Thu 24th Nov 2022 - Black Cave
V10 ~V9 | ★★★ The Plunge | |||||
Repeated this to try and get the link up into Aquarius. Pumped liked crazy and fell off the top holds on Aquarius
V10 ~V9 | ★★★ The Plunge — 5 attempts | ★★★ Mega Classic
Such an amazing problem. Found that throwing for the higher jug helped with avoiding the dab. Once I figured it out, wasn't that hard.

Sat 22nd Oct 2022 - Boulder Rock
Watermelon Area | ||||||
V5 ~V6 | ★★ Watermelon | 3m | ★★ Very Good
I feel like this climb is a hit or miss. To some people it's easy, to others like me, it's hard especially when you're not good at lock off's. Found it pretty fun after failing on it 8 years ago
V6/7 ~V7 | ★★★ Watermelon right — 2 attempts | 6m | ★★ Very Good
Found the traverse really fun. Big first move.

Really fun throw! Didn't use the aretes
V8 | ★★ Right Boulder #6 - with Gavin Chin | ★★ Very Good
Felt like it was a harder version of #5. On my first attempt, I couldn't even pull off the ground. Decided to try hard on my second go and got my bum off and sent!
V4 | ★★ Right Boulder Traverse | ★ Good
Thought I'd warm up on this... Was pretty tough with minimal feet. Flash pump!

Fri 24th Jun 2022 - Mountain Quarry
Carpark boulders | ||||||
V6 | ★★ VJuice left sit | 4m | ★★ Very Good
Pretty interesting moves to get established for the throw. Did a right hand Gaston onto the rail with some interesting footwork. Good fun
V7 | ★★ Bumble Juice | 4m | ★★ Very Good
Really enjoyed the moves. Similar feel to finger hooks with an explosive finish
V6 V7 | ★ Mr Bump Sitstart | 4m | ★★ Very Good
Did the sit start, not the squat start. Found it pretty straight forward. Found first throw up to the left hold was the crux for me.
Sat 4th Jun 2022 - Dreaming Frog
Welcome Sector | ||||||
V5 | ★★ Do You Even Lift? | 3m | ★★ Very Good
Still good after 5 years! Definitely feeling the age and my back on the first move! Found using a higher left foot much easier than using the further but more positive footer
Fri 3rd Jun 2022 - Mountain Quarry
Carpark boulders | ||||||
V5 | ★ V-Juice Stand Start | ★★ Very Good
Big move! Found wearing stiffer shoes helped give me that extra few cms
V8 | ★★ Finger Hooks | 4m | ★★ Very Good
Sharp and very right shoulder intensive. Conditions are great tonight and the right shouldery hold actually felt like there was an edge on it. After the mozziss came out, I knew I had only had 1 more go and off it went. Really enjoyed the movement and sequence.
V7 | ★★ V-Juice | 4m | ★★ Very Good
Tried to do the alternative beta with the right heel hook at the starting hold. First time trying it I managed to stick the v slot statically but knee was making some popping sounds.... So had to go the direct method after.
Fri 27th May 2022 - Mountain Quarry
Carpark boulders | ||||||
V3 | ★ Smooth Jazz | 4m | ★★ Very Good
Really cool movements. Thought the sit was going to be a breeze...
V7 | ★★ Smooth Jazz, sit start | 5m | ★★ Very Good
High gravity, high mosquito night. Again started at the wrong handhold for most of the evening. Damn long arm folk that make this look easy....
V8 | ★★★ Casa Blumpkin | 5m | ★★ Very Good
Very shouldery! Took me a whole session to realise I was pulling on the wrong start holds..
Was wondering how you all made it look so easy!

Sun 17th Apr 2022 - Midgegoroo National Park
Mount Randall The Freefall Area Main Area
V8 | ★★★ Eye Candy | 2m | ★★ Very Good
Always found the last move hard on this one. Somehow managed to find some juice in the tank to squeeze hard on that left hand
V11 | ★★★ There Will be Blood | 3m | ★★★ Mega Classic
Awesome line. Found it easier than when I last tried 2 years ago. I found the start very particular for the finger / hand placements. Before going for the big move, I moved my feet closer and was able to staticly reach the hold.
Managed to send it on my first go after dialling in the traverse and ending. Woohoo! |
Sun 27th Jun 2021 - Changi

Maybe I was tired but found it harder than Midday Lightning. Took me so many goes! The guidebook talks about starting on the right side pull but struggled to start matched and feet up on the block. Started with right hand on side pull and left hand on good hold on left

Thanks to Woody for sharing this find with me. Cool boulder with what looks to be improbable moves but it comes together. Wasn't sure of the grade due to the abundance of ice cream I've been eating but felt hard for me.
