Ascents as various tick types by Christoph Rauch

Oh bummer. Sat in the rope below the crux, about 3 meters off the ground, with no hard moves below me, then started from there, managed to get through the crux. Never having completed the upper part in one go, I didn't think I'd make it, so I continued on. Finished the traverse barely holding on and lunged for the sidepull. No idea how I stuck that move, but I kept pushing (or rather pulling) me to the top. Probably can't be arsed to do this again since the crux is such a hit and miss. Close enough to a clean send for me.

Carried out the beta as practised. (First old bolt preclipped.)

Arrived at the anchor on the skin of my teeth. Didn't really know where to put my left foot, so I decided to just smear it against the wall out left, so if I fell, at least I wouldn't thread my legs into the rope. Bumped up successfully to the clipping jug. Harder than "City Cobra", and the moves from the second bolt felt harder than the hardest move in "Peacemaker", too. But of course, it's a different style.

My new beta from a month ago made it seem so easy now. Not nearly as pumpy as I had imagined it. Feels absolutely great to climb this. I got a cramp in my left biceps around the second bolt, but fortunately could get rid of it before continuing with the route.

Phenomenal line along the striking prow. Nice start over the little slab, then a bouldery, dynamic move out of a good undercling; after two crimps, the arête action starts with some slaps left and right. Then the finishing jug is only a few more shallow pockets away.

Tried a high variant first, but couldn't link the moves, so I resorted to traversing the low slopers to the arête.

Basically three hard moves and a dyno. Didn't use the bad crimp below the jugs on the edge but only the tiny sidepull crimp.

Relatively easy to the ledge (bolt above can be clipped easily), then about 5 hard moves into the upper wall. Easier to the top.

Basically a boulder between the first two bolts on small holds with easy climbing attached afterwards. The first bolt can be clipped almost from the ground; the second one is actually really hard to clip. In my successful attempt, I didn't clip it from the juggy hold above and left of the bolt, but instead made another move to a good jug for the right hand. Ground fall definitely possible!
