Fantastic afternoon out! I played support to mates who wanted to do the climb, and enjoyed every bit of it.

Lots of fun.

A hold on the rail came off on my send, added some excitement.

While it's a bit height dependent, there is a lot of options that should keep the grade reasonable.

Pretty sure I was on the same line but went up using the side pulls on the left.

Drop several grades if you can jam.. but there was a moment I thought I was gone.

Worth it for the single classy hand jam.

By accident, seemed awfully hard for a 14!

Unreal climbing at the grade, pitch 4 was particularly serious.. wondering if we did the direct finish by mistake.

Sustained and amazing. Somehow we did it in 3 pitches. My first proper roped climbing in over a year, so it was pretty intense, but it went.

Couldn't do the start move last time, easily done today.

What a nightmare of a landing, thankful for my boulder mat. Second shot but very messy.

Good, deep, crack.

Sharp corner crack, fun little chimney, punchy offwidth! Would have been nice to have a #5 with us.. run out layback to finish.

Some confusion with the guide book, this name is used for the climb going up behind the pillar and this climb is not listed. Please comment if you know the correct details.

Good jamming, the choss in the crack was more stable than it looked. Easy access and good fun.

Quality jam.

A real adventure. Final pitch taking some thinking and acrobatics for the grade, (16 in the guide), it would probably be quite wet a lot of the time. Satisfying top out.

Lovely, varied crack climbing and we had a ball. Some confusion about pitch lengths and belay ledges, that would all have been avoided if we'd read the pitch write up on here..

Our first route on the Ben. Had trouble finding the start of the route as we approached from below. Great quality moves once we found the line, some committing moves on the second pitch.

Fun, reachy start. Plenty of edges to find for the top out.

Glorious. I never thought a climb this long could be so consistent. Moving between the crack systems were the highlight, as well as finding the crack rhythm and not having the crack run out one move later! Consider hauling your gear through the chimney pitch if you are seconding, worked well for me. Back at the car by 5pm.

Thought I was off so many times, but it all stuck!
