Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Right Wall
26 | ★★ Barefoot and Pregnant | 20m, 9 | ★★ Very Good
Dog two sent to the pound. Pretty sustained this one with lots of moves and course slopes at the top. Pretty happy to knock this over placing the draws.
26 | ★★ Grease Monkey (Grease Moneky) | 20m, 7 | ★★ Very Good
Old dog put to bed placing the draws today. I was a bit worried about the hard thin start but it went pretty easy and held on tight for the top crux. Yay.
25 | ★★ Barbie Boys | 20m, 9 | ★★★ Classic
A couple warm-up laps. Pretty easy for the grade, mostly 23 jugs with single crimp pull in the middle.

24 | ★ Funnel Vision | 18m, 9 | Average
Needs a bit more traffic to improve in quality. Very steep and juggy but some of the holds are very thin and scary. The last move....
25 | ★★ Funny Bunny | 17m, 9 | ★★★ Classic
Pretty funky and steep number, the onsight ended early after getting lost at the crux but went pretty smooth second shot. The line of the wall and worth the walk past fever face.
24 | ★★ Fun Bags | 14m, 8 | ★★ Very Good
Rad flake at half height and a punchy last move.
19 | ★ Funambulist | 20m, 10 | ★★ Very Good
Pretty sweet line tucked away up in the gully. I chose to climb it in my approach shoes and regretted it as there are lots of tricky moves for the grade.

Two shots, darn that start is hard...
The twin pockets on this route and so cool, I will be back one day for a rematch.

Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Left Wall
26 27 | ★★★ Big Hair Day | 30m, 12 | ★★★ Classic
Stopped at the anchour under the roof as it was very wet above. Sick route with some very unique holds and moves throughout. Took me a little while to commit to the top all point dyno but it was gravy on the send.
24 | ★★★ Johnny The Neo Liberal Bogan | 25m, 12 | ★★★ Classic
Repeat.
A pearler at the grade, has to be one of my favorite in the mountains.
22 | ★★ Yobbo Cow Bait | 20m, 10 | ★★ Very Good
Repeat, needs a little more loving.

Repeat. A few hard pulls down low the jugs for days.

Repeat.
Pretty easy for 21 but good sustained climbing.

21 | ★★ Chairman Meow | 20m, 10 | ★ Good
Last route of a very windy day..
Good classic blue mountains slab route that is better then the 22 to the right.
28 | ★★ Auto Bling Century | 18m, 9 | ★★★ Classic
Really glad I got on this route and psyched to have another project. Dogged my way thought doing all the moves first shot then surprised myself linking thought the crux on my second and got even further third shot. Both times pulled straight back on after a fall and pumped to the top.
The low crux traverse can be solved with some funky heel work and then its all on with big moves and mostly good holds to a sneaky slab top. Heeling good fun!!! |
23 | ★★ Yellow Fever | 17m, 7 | ★★ Very Good
Not much chalk on this less traveled gem. Fantastic rock as the start and a great mix of interesting moves on flakes and edges.

Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Right Wall
24 | ★★ Rottwelier | 30m, 13 | ★★ Very Good
Wow this is a full value warm up on a hungover morning. I was really grateful for Andy for putting the draws on this beast right to the top of the cliff.
Not as choss as it looks with a much needed lay down rest half way. Long draws are a must in the middle. |

Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Right Wall
25 | ★★★ Automobiles as Personality and Ego Substitutes | 19m, 8 | ★★★ Classic
Why haven't I been on this one yet? Really tricky and sustained climbing in the first half then steep course not as good as you would like them jugs in the upper. Much steep then it looks and much better. The best of the 5"s on this side and the hardest.

Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Left Wall
24 | ★ Gay Witches For Abortion | 18m, 9 | ★ Good
Done and done, while Jas warmed up late in the day I chucked a lap up this. Really interesting climbing with some thin hard pulling at the start, then a rest then a good pounce to gain the upper groove.
27 | ★★★ Stop Gear | 18m, 8 | ★★★ Mega Classic
Hell yeah..
First shot of the day skipped the crux clip placing the draws and caught BIG air time spooging out of the flake slot. Sent second shot (4 all up) when the conditions were much better after a breeze picked up. Awesome route.
23 | ★★ Big Shoulders And Beer Guts | 28m, 13 | ★ Good
Finally a dry day so I could top this out, made all the more exciting by the 70cm diamond python that was moving around on the upper wall.
The upper section of this route is steeper then you think, gets pumpy up there.
22 | ★★ Yobbo Cow Bait | 20m, 10 | ★★ Very Good
Repeat. Good warm up after the steep start.

Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Right Wall
24 | ★★ Boris the Blade | 16m, 7 | ★ Good
Wanted to tick something today. Not that hard for a 24 but with some big moves between good but course holds. Needs a few more repeats to clean up some of the loose rock but with the strange bolting I doubt it will get much traffic.
26 | ★★ Barefoot and Pregnant | 20m, 9 | ★★ Very Good
Got schooled.
This route wanders around a bit and with no existing chalk I got super pumped at top of the sloper moves and came off. Not as good as I had hoped it would be but still great climbing. Tricky foot work at the very top.

Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Left Wall
27 | ★★★ Stop Gear | 18m, 8 | ★★★ Mega Classic
I will be back for this one for sure!! A super line that flows like a dream and is a real pleasure to climb. Awesome pockets at the start followed by a couple of big moves to a rest then bone down through the thin but not to crimpy crux up onto the massive flake.
22 | ★ Fluffy Dice | 20m, 10 | ★ Good
Not as bad as I thought or the guide makes it out to be, glue start (nothing rare there) then funky pockets and continued interesting climbing. The top has had a good going over with a hammer.
21 | ★★ Boganville | 28m, 11 | ★★★ Classic
Repeat warm up. Best 21 here for sure.

Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Fever Face
23 | ★ Quaking | 18m, 8 | ★★ Very Good
With Shoes still on from the slab I convinced paul to give me one more catch for this very featured wall. All most muffed the lower crux by getting it all crossed up but with today's perfect conditions pulled through on some mini edges. Real didn't want to fall off the top. Great day.
22 | ★ Click Bait | 18m, 9 | ★ Good
Classic Monty sandbag. After a day of pumping steep jugs the mini crimps on this slab felt hard.

Sun 13th Oct 2013 - Blue Mountains
Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Right Wall
24 | ★★ Rottwelier | 30m, 13 | ★★ Very Good
Well I had energy to burn so this good, looonng steep climb looked great. 14 draws including 6 extender draws will see you to the top of the wall. Onsighted all the way to the roof flake top but couldn't clip the anchors, core shot Paul's rope instead
Plenty of knee bar rested if you can find then and the rock is a lot better then I expected.
25 | ★★ Barbie Boys | 20m, 9 | ★★★ Classic
Every crag needs a classic 25 and this is it. Not that hard, mainly jugs but the undercling to crimp crux and improbable but perfect finish make this a great pumper.
Lovin this crag.
20 22 | ★ All The Way May | 11m, 5 | ★ Good
Pretty easy moves up to a couple of crimps at the anchors, graded 22 but pretty soft at the grade.
21 | ★★ The Original Bogan | 20m, 9 | ★★ Very Good
Once you finish Mr Ed your feeling a little tired then you get some technical moves along a flake to top you off.
19 | ★ Mr Ed | 14m, 6 | ★ Good | |||
Pumper then I thought it would be for a 19, linked into the original bogan for the full tick.
23 | ★★ Venissieux | 23m, 9 | ★★★ Classic
Wow glad I got on this beast, it felt tuff at the grade but super fun. This route is like a soft mans wipeout, long traverses away from bolts.
Sun 13th Oct 2013 - Blue Mountains
Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Boganville Left Wall
24 | ★★★ Johnny The Neo Liberal Bogan | 25m, 12 | ★★★ Classic
Long fun pumper, the first moves may be the crux but still a few tricky spots. Great sit down rest half way.
22 | ★★ Yobbo Cow Bait | 20m, 10 | ★★ Very Good
Super fun steep start on great holds then the grade kicks back a few and you can cruise to the top on some of the coolest pocket clusers I have seen. Soft?
21 | ★ The Fishmongers Wife | 24m, 10 | ★ Good
Fun smooth start holds to the little crux then a ledge to stand on. The upper half is steeper but on big course mostly solid jugs.
21 | ★ My Flannelette Shirt | 20m, 9 | Average
Not the best climb on this wall but probable the hardest 21. The climbing is awkward and not that fun.
21 | ★★ Boganville | 28m, 11 | ★★★ Classic
Classic warm up. Great fun climb with a funky traverse to thin pocket then jugs jugs and more jugs to the top. The route finishes with one move on the dirty black slab so most of us finished at the last bolt.
