Ascents as trad by Jason

Mandy led P1 & P2, I lead P3. Guidebook says "Very sustained at the grade", should read sustained calf pump! Pro maybe a little sparse in spots.

Dan done most of the hard work I finished it off.

Pumped out on last couple of moves - had to rest on rope to finish.

Still not confident in my hand jams, made it harder than it should have been.

Stopped a few feet short of the top as our anchor was extended over the edge a bit. A full body thrutchfest workout!

A hard fingery move in the middle - then easy to the top.

With Dan. Some cool moves early on, then easy finish. Highest graded lead to date.

Didn't feel much harder than Necrophiliac.

I liked this one for some reason.

With Elise this time, good lead even though i wasn't feeling great!

Did it twice, layback and then hand jam. Still need to work on jamming.

Mandy lead p1, I lead p2. Great climb - if you ignore the couple of prickle bushes you have to climb through! Very windy winters day.

Ran it out at the top as I couldn't find good gear. A couple of tricky sections and a great finish.

Joel attempted lead first then retreated, I re-lead and finished to retrieve his gear.

Really enoyable - I liked this one!

Great short little route, steep.

Good lead by Dan. Two roofs, in 12m. Good fun.

Warm up lead - never get sick of this climb!

Cracker! Awesome second pitch. Loved it.

Not bad, a couple of tricky overhangs for a 12.

Led pitch 1 & 4, Dan lead pitch 2 & 3. Pitch 1&3 are scary for the grade! The chimney is intimidating!

Let Dan talk me into leading this, hands were already mince meat from top roping Moby Dick Pinnacle cracks earlier in the day. Feels harder than 10 if your hands are already bleeding.

Last climb of the weekend. In light rain, water dripping from the route. Tricky moves at the top for the grade, but good fun.

We intended to climb Journalistic Licence which traverses left at the first ledge, but climbed straight up instead.

Great climb, good intro to Araps.

Wussed out of the direct finish!

First onsight lead.

Dan led the chimney, I led the crack finish which felt harder than 10.

Fell on the crux move first try, got it second time. Good climb!

With my bro. Topped out on dusk and had to bash out through the prickle bushes in the dark.

First multi pitch lead. Requires a bit of hunting around to find good gear placements on this cliff!

More jamming practise. After Moby Dick, ranout of gas and skin on my hands to finish it. Another day.

Good last few meters up the corner, pretty crap till then.

Good climb, top 1/3 is a cakewalk. Careful of some loose rocks on a ledge towards the top, a helmet for the belayer is a good idea.

Nice cruisy climb.
