Tired, end of the weekend, finger-tips killing me, but I made it!
Loved this route last year when I OS it, that I had to TR this year when my partner OS it.
1 rest before crux; 1 short fall; awkward moves and holds; Never felt balanced;
I climbed the right edge of the slab, using the crack just left of the right edge, and used 4 or 5 chocks. I thought that particular path was about 5.7.
Maybe a 5.10a when the sandstone was fresh. My partner and I thought pitch 1 was a 5.10c, and pitch 2 a 5.10b.
Fairly sustained 5.6 climbing except for about a 5.8+ move about 25' up pitch 1.
A beautiful 4th of July! Not a cloud in the sky. Decided to head up this after finishing day on the lower western slabs. I really like this route Very edgy, gripping small edges.
