To the first bolt felt like an 18
With 1st high bolt pre-clipped courtesy of Jordan. Classic on lead with bolts spaced enough to excite a bit. 7 bolts found.
Alone. Up, down and back up again to get the backpack I left on the shoulder.
Gotta love the FHs drilled next to perfect trad placements.
2nd shot. The whole lot for the 2 of us (lead, hauling, jumaring and gear management to clean finish) in 38 min
Brent on lead
Pleasant scramble with few scenic spots and a bivvy cave. Shame on the people who painted red marks on rock and trees every metre or so.
Awful bottom pitch.
Perfect weather, nice climbing on the buttress, excellent partner, safe practices and an abundance of humour. Pitch 2 and 5 my fav.
With Brent. Off-route again. I couldn't find the trees I remembered. The ledges are covered in soft soil and ashes making the ascent extremely slippery in the bottom half part.
Went up the crack then masochistically drifted right to SBB belay, ending in runout no-man horrorshow-land. My fault.
Contemplating retirement from climbing after trying this for the second time.
Just a timid attempt while Umberto was getting ready to smash it. Upper slider is not my environment.
Decided to warm up with this and couldn't make the crux. Gave up immediately.
