Managed to flash with the gear in, amazing climbing in an epic position especially moving through that final bulge. Fully body workout, would love to come back for a a proper redpoint

Pretty fun. Mostly OS - just had a bit of beta for the first few meters from watching some guys trying Masada the week before. Is that bolt in the middle neccessary? - I felt it detracted from the route a bit. P1 only.

Another trip objective goes down without too much of a fight. Happy to flash on Paul’s gear. Plenty of different styles on this but the heartbeat on the pod was a bit surreal.

Finished up the last pitch of Trojan after doing Judgement Day. I greased out of the crack after trying to place wrong sized gear. Climbed it through from the ledge on the second go.

First shot today placing gear. A memorable send. My palm ripped open on the first move and my helmet fell off after the initial layback lol. Well professional. Sorry for any blood trail. Continued on to complete all further pitches clean. Split P2 into 2 and led the awkward approach crack to P3. P3 is nails 21 IMO...Felt more like 22.

Pulled the gear, had a good rest in the sun, mentally rehearsed the moves and the placements, then went for the send! Pretty psyched! Classic climbing, a few tricky moves, and great gear that's fairly straightforward. Just did the first pitch unfortunately. The 3rd pitch looks rad.

One off the life list. First go today. Fairly good but maybe not as classic as everyone says. I stopped at the first double bolts on pitch one so i could give Liz a better belay and because the next bit is kinda shit. We then climbed from here to the belay at the end of Masada as pitch two and from that belay to the top as pitch three. Seems like a good way to do it and means pitch two is the only average bit of climbing. Good value.

This route is actually perfect. Three very cryptic problems split by two still strenuous no-hands rests. Engaging literally from head to toe the whole way.

2nd shot. My onsight attempt was an absokute debacle -I just couldn't seem to get my head around it, for some reason. Then, when I figured my beta, the 2nd lap was kinda cruisy, I didn't get stressed or pumped. Weird? Objectively, its classic, slippery, burly, steep crack climbing, with a ruthless start.

Attempted ground up placing gear on lead. Had a fair few sits but climbed all the moves cleanly, linking a good section between the lower crux and the top of the peapod.

Step one, build cairn so can reach holds, 2, pivot around into undercling, 3 kneebar, 4 lay back, 5 fall off. Did this about 10 times. Then foolishly volunteered to clean Dave's Sat upon gear

Pitch 1 only. Ran a rope down this at the end of the day after finishing Judgement Day (sacrilege I know !) just to have a play. Complete body workout, and some of the jams hurt but that's probably because I am soft. Hard off the ground and feet are slippery in parts. The line and aesthetic of the rock are better than the actual climbing for mine ... (controversy!) Will obviously come back, but won't do it last thing of the day next time !
