Nice chill day out (though rach might disagree). I thought the first 2 pitches were awesome, and I’d say a better start to BBB. The traverse onto the buckets was fun, but otherwise I’d say Bunnies is the better route. Did it in 7 pitches on 50s, bit under 6 hours car-car. 1-2, 3, 4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10.5, 10.5-top. I’d say most of the route is overgraded, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Lead Odd pitches. CC section just a bit sandy, P3 had a weird climb around to the right which took me a bit to work out. HC traverse pitch more fun then I remember, and pitch after hard for the grade. Skipped the last pitch. Brought 15 draws, 2 alpines, few bolt hangers for the belays; maybe a few more alpine, a few less draws next time ?. CC pitches meh, HC pitches money. Traverse pitch started to come into sun ~1400hrs today 24/3/24 ~7hrs 15 minutes C2C, weaselburger raps.

Fantastic position! A little hard to find the bolts on top, there's a few other positions bolted nearby that might lure the unwary. Be sure to find the 3 exposed highline bolts before committing to the rap.

Nice chill morning with rach, good to place gear again. Some sections of really good climbing, interrupted by ledges and dirty topouts. Worth it for p3 At 5’2” rach was on the lookout for the move that was “harder if you’re short”, but failed to find anything reachy 🤷🏻‍♂️ #6 is absolutely unnecessary, with the crack taking plenty of other gear at that point. Also only took 2 x #2 and it was fine (the p2 belay has options). Got to place my 4 a couple times though, which makes me happy

Took longer than expected due to party of 4 ahead. Was waiting at the top of pitch 6 for a while before swapping to Randy Rabbit Ridge to finish up the last three pitches on that (so that we were not holding up a party of 2 behind us) Overall, enjoyable climbing, pitch 6 was easily my favourite, maybe one day I’ll try the last two pitches.

Bloody brilliant day out. Managed to be very efficient finding our way in and up the first five pitches before 11 am. Proudly onsighted the opening boulder problem only to snap off a thumb press while resting above, take a nice whipper, and have to do it all again. All the higher-graded pitches were great value. Made the mistake of climbing up to the roof for the traverse, which complicated clipping the middle bolt. Actual crux for me was the last two bolts of P7. After all the endless jug hauling and making it this far up, suddenly it turns to shitty slopers. Took the mother of all whippers trying to clip and sailed a long way back down. Definitely made harder by doing it in full, sweaty sun by that point and also running out of quick draws on the front loops of my harness. Anyway, despite all the fearmongering and growing levels of worry after reading about other people's epics, we had a blast! Thoroughly enjoyed the reading material in the emergency bin too - may all of Mel's dreams come true.

Brilliant climbing. Make sure to rap towards the left looking out - I went right and had quite a fight making it down the arete. Start was probably the crux. Forcing myself to step left onto the juggy overhang took surprisingly long!

Toward the top of a ~15m runout I transition to the (wet) slab and make my way toward the tree (banksia...sick). As I pull over the lip I notice a rather large python eyeing me down some 10cm from my face, in front of the anchor. In this instance I opted to extend the anchor to a fun hanging situation in case our friend felt introverted. I then proceeded to belay up my three partners to join me in this predicament. P.S I would've downclimbed had I not put a microtrax in halfway to protect the second simulers Three stars.

Ooftt started the weekend with this ripper, finished the weekend with a 17km overnight hike all on my first two days of my bleed. I'm both v stoked and v wrecked. Now just gotta come back for a lead of p2 and I'm done with this climb (edit: or maybe I won't, maybe I'm already done with this climb).

	19	★★ The Silk Road - with Rene Provis 1 18 35 Trad Actually such a fun pitch. The climbing kinda reminds me of Firebug first two pitches. For me this felt like a solid 18. 2 19 35 Trad Sustained. For me this had one of the hardest moves on the entire route 3 19 30 Trad Lots of stemming and a couple sporty moves hanging off jugs. Loved this. 4 16 25 Trad The exit pitch. Despite appearances and grade it does have a couple of fun moves. Little bit overgrown at this point compared to the other pitches.	Trad 130m	★★★ Classic	Jamie Spencer
Splitter cracks for over 100 metres. Sure, there is veg and dirt on some of the pitch top outs, but it doesn't get much better than this at the grade and... without a single bolt!!! There's gear everywhere!!! First pitch is a little sandbagged at 17 - feels like a tough 18 with some tricky moves passing the roof/chimney down low. Sustained, adventurous, and a lot of fun Look forward to getting back on this again. Thanks for the great day out Rene Provis!

Had to trust feet on blank wall. Figured it out, moved through it and then popped off the wall suddenly. Not sure if it was my hands or feet. And fun 9 17 20 Second lead by Stephen Hall 10 18 30 Sport lead by Shazzy God damn did I freak out. My foot broke off 2 holds at separate times. One was when moving off the last traverse bolt. Went to step across with right foot and left foothold broke off but I caught myself with my left handhold. Then up a few more bolts and my right foothold broke off too. Finally got to jump on this climb so I was super stoked however I got challenged on this! I mean, comments say it's an easy 19 but I reckon if you climb trad or cracks it's an easy 19. I did not expect a tonne of layback larrys. Commiting. But definitely became a super easy multi after the first 3 pitches. Hardest 19 multi I've done. What an adventure
