Inspect lap. Great, unrelenting climbing

One doggedy lap repeating the mini-links and playing with a knee-pad.

Second session. Some mini-links (inlcuding from second crux to top). Have yet to link the entirety of traverse crux: I can't do the gaston-match so have to go right hand into sidepull and move left to crimps, which consumes plenty of energies.

Individual moves done. Traverse left and move from glued sidepull (I did not link the move to and from it) the two hardest bits.

Still not a fan but it is a good test piece.

Having a play

Did the top sequence this time which was nice. I’m still not that impressed but I guess I should try and do it one day. Liz’s battle was excellent 😉

Absolute ripper, the classic status is well deserved.

For any boulderers like me wondering if they should give this a go, my guesstimate breakdown is: Spicy V3ish first move into some jugs, into a good kneebar rest (hands off depending on your leg anatomy), then, back to back with zero rest, a V4/5 first crux into a V3 into a V4/5 second crux and finally a V2ish exit.

As one may guess, the difficulty is not from any of the moves, but linking them all together without pumping out. Even the final V2 exit is fallable if your forearms aren't cooperating.

A little bit of power endurance goes a long way here.

I reckon 28 if you use a knee pad and juice the rest, probably 29 if you don't.

Surprised and happy to stick all the moves onsight, albeit resting at each bolt. Will hopefully be back with some more endurance and a knee pad.

Had fun throwing myself at this and working through the moves. Will take a lot more strength and work to make ot happen.

Mega stoked! 9 days, 25 odd burns and one sore pulley later. Hats off to all my belayers!

Much better conditions until it got hot. One hung it first lap, cooked off on the second. Not fully project sold yet, the weather has to be just right??

3 cold learning laps, the top half felt pretty glassy today in the wind. Did all the moves first shot but then it got too cold. Top crux didn’t feel too bad off the sit.

3 more burns and a new highpoint, getting closer..

Good to actually do some climbing on this thing. All the moves went okay but didn’t fully sort the sequence up high. Pretty rad but man the start boulder sucks.

Not even really an attempt. Batmanned up and tried a few moves but came down because it was so icy cold and windy around this corner.

Historic, hard power endurance established by George Feig 21 years ago. While holds and grades have come and gone, this remains a true testpiece. Came close 4 years ago, redemption today. [7]

Arctic! All moves again. I must come here sometime in half reasonable conditions.

Awesome! Sent it after finally getting more than one go on it each year. This is either pretty damn hard 28 or not so easy 29. But amazing either way.

Was cruising, and inexplicably stopped my momentum in the crux.

In the rain. Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Final tricky move, grabbed with 2 fingers instead of 3. Silly error. Then it went dark. This is no harder than Beautiful Thing. Perfect 28.

Very obvious, did all moves straight up. A short power endurance sequence.

Many shots. Unsure of grade as its a great power enduro route. Classic and techy chugging

One fall on the 2nd shot then downhill from there. One rest is FAR from ticking on this route
