Did you know?

Did you know that you can create an account to record, track and share your climbing ascents? Thousands of climbers are already doing this.

A nice sunny crag just a short walk from the Fortescue Bay camp grounds. Short steep climbing up cracks, pockets & flakes.

Access issues

This area is part of the Tasman National Park. National Park fees apply.

From Fortescue Bay, follow the Cape Huay track for a few minutes until dipping down left to follow the rocky shore for a further 20 mins. Eventually you'll have to bash through some scrub to reach the top of the cliff line.

Alternatively, follow the Cape Huay track until you reach a newly built 'slip lane' of sorts to the left of the track at the crest of a hill. Generally heading north - bash down through the scrub & dead tree debris until you pop out above the cliffs. Reach the platform below via abseil (20m).

Where to stay

There are abundant camping facilities at Fortescue Bay. $12 per sight per night last time we checked.

Grade Route

The easiest route to bail out from if the tides are giving you grief - following the split where the wall joins the sloping ramp, then traversing right & up the bulging block to the she-oak. A bit of a wander...
