It wasn’t done in an R1, but it was done in tights. A classic misadventure involving hommus and an odd sense of fashion. An excellent way to climb threadkneedle, especially for those with an aptitude for going off route… anyways what a climb! One of my favourites in Gariwerd for sure (what can I say I’m a sucker for the old classics)

Very fun easy tradventure. Cave belay was cool, the moves out of it were sufficiently protected if you're creative. Just managed to link P2 and P3 with my 68m rope with both rope anchors. P4 was well worth it, had by far the steepest climbing I've done anywhere near this grade on massive jugs. Only loses 3rd star for lack of exposure on the upper pitches.

We couldn't find the redirect for the rap (we tailed an extra rope) so taner had to traverse across to the top of pitch 2. Not sure if we're muppets and the redirect below the top anchor should be easy to find but /shrug.

We had decided to embark on a 1960s ascent of The Crank, taking only passive pro and doing it in our sneakers to then walk off. Ended up flying up the first two pitches free solo and then roping up to do the kinda hollow flake pitch of Grace Before Meals. We set up a belay atop that and then soloed a final section to the top. We then got hilariously lost in an epic thunderstorm on top of Mt. Stayplton and somehow ended up at the Hollow Mountain carpark at 10pm with no head torches feeling quite amused and ridiculous

onsighted 1st/3rd and 5th pitches and seconded the 2nd and 4th. super awesome adventure climbing. one stopper move at start of second pitch but otherwise climbing is below grade 20...definitely not 22. bit of everything...crimpy face, slabs, rooflets, laybacks, corner crack! couldn't believe another two parties of climbers qeued behind us. gets my strong recommendation.

lead p 2&4, the start of p2 is desperate!! not very sustained, so a good climb for aspiring gr21 leaders

With Cam.. Dunno if it is worth three stars maybe 2.. Very hard starting moves on pitch 2 for shorties like me..
