Ascents in Faraway Wall having Beta

Feels a lot like bluebell, nice solid rock and a bit fat dyno crux. Went third go, after practicing the jump.

Good route.

Not quite as good as its partner route (though better than anything on fossil or motorcross walls). Couldnt do the start for too much slime, I think it would go fine if dry and clean, but it'll take a while to dry. Did everything but the wet crux.

Tough crimpy crux move.

So good!! Great rock and the climb flows really well. Worth the trek in.

crux to second bolt, desperate hold to clip. Amazing climbing to the top with thought provoking move to anchors. So worth it, best climb here.

Gotta be harder than 10! Yes, lots of jugs, but getting from the 1st to 2nd bolt is more like a 14?

Tricky for a 16. The pocket up to the edge was fine for my 5ft 10in, but the next move up to the flake/jug thing was tricky. Maybe I was confused by heaps of chalk at the left? Best to go straight up and aim for the furthest right hold on the ledge above the bolt.

Very happy to tick my first 23, particularly with an onsight. This route is absolutely great- fun climbing on excellent rock. Get on it.

Got this second try. Not quite as classic as Vitruvian Man, but still quite good.

Actually much better than it looks from the ground. One hang- would have got it clean with another go but didn't have time. The fixed biners on the anchors are heaps dodgy (corroded, flaking, and literally falling apart) and need replacing.

Very, very cool route up prominent feature. Love it, have to come back and send it cleanly.

if you're not up for the 24, take some long safeties
