Ascents of Hanger Wall

Laid siege to this rig for a solid few hours, armed with only 7 loose nuts in place of bolt plates. Will lead the first half before lowering to clean and send me up to lead the rest.

Nothing gets the heart rate up like weighting a skyhook on sketchy KP rock with only 2 loose nuts on carrots keeping you from a 15m deck.

Even found a huge black tote placement near the top. Pretty sure had about half of a lobe engaged but goes to show how bomb a black tote is.

Had the whole of right main wall in awe at the faff, and even got a bashing threat at the top from some random derro.

A+ experience.

Good to dust off the aid/jugging cobwebs. Alfifi was a game changer.

Marking old ascents. Got halfway before I ran out of draws - oops!

First aid and first aid solo. Pretty slow.

First outdoor aid lead in prep for Stainless on the weekend

Pulled a chunk out of the pocket for the hook move still goes but not as bomber as it was

1st go learning aid climbing.

First aid route! So cool. I feel like this style comes naturally to me. Shame there aren't more around. I've got so much respect for the early climbers who put up baller aid routes on gear. Not as easy as it seems!

Ground to top 9 mins. Ground to Ground, route cleaned 12mins.

After midnight Heaps of fun, even though it took me a while. Just stayed on bolts, can't wait to try out some hook moves.

Alright, starting to get the hang of it. Need to start pumping up the volume. Daisy chain lengths all wrong - need to be much longer. Need to play with Jumar lengths too.

10 minutes to anchors on lead. I think I've done this enough times now. . .

A couple more laps on lead with Laura. Led in 13 minutes, Jumared and cleaned in 5.

4 laps on TR solo. Got it down to 13 min. Getting the hang of top stepping.

Again (this time with a belayer) to see if I could do it a bit faster. A bit under 30 mins to anchors. Rapped off and cleaned, then Laura led and rapped off the free end of the rope, then I jumared it to clean in torrential rain, lighting and thunder. Good times.
