Riverside Buttress Topos

A hidden gem of the gorge. Technical and hard finger locking and jambing with no faceholds except for a rounded arete. Awesome gear, a little tricky to place at the start and finishes up some classic gorge spikes and drill holes. DBB

Another 5m upstream is a corner.

Starting on the side pull just left of the fugitive crack, move left into large underling. Follow the thin crack via spikes and finish straight up the face using double aretes to top out.

A popular cliff featuring a collection of easier climbs in the 10 - 18 range. Good access from above and below.

From Pennyroyal, head up the zig-zag track to the staircase just past Trackside Buttress. There is (usually) a cairn on the other side of the fence marking a rough climbers track. Climb over here and follow the track down and upstream for approx 20 metres to the top of a cliff. On the left edge is a DBB in front of a useful tree. This is the top of French Ethics (18). Rap from here (25m) to reach the base of Pygmy Possum - a few further steps downstream.

A popular cliff with numerous quality climbs of various grades and styles.

Directly below 'Saturday Night Buttress' is another cliff face with a decent crack route 'Foam'.

Buttress directly below Foam, ONLY ACCESSIBLE AT LOW TIDE, definitely worth a visit for the classic 'Innocent Bystander'

A minor cliff wedged between Nighthawks Buttress, and Saturday Night Buttress - with some obscure natural lines, and a couple of freshly bolted sporty additions.

Face below the lookout on the Zig-Zag Track and above the flat area at the top of Pigmy Possum Buttress
