Ascents of The 2007 Love Handles Tour

Loved this one, plenty of interesting moves all the way to the top. The crux of this climb is the very start. I didn’t find the DBB for multi-pitch, however we could do it in one pitch with a 70m rope.

Very nice headwall, needs a lot of carrots !

Bit of a stretch to describe this as a multi-pitch... Bring some extended draws for main pitch then run it out from first set of anchors to the top where two carrots can be used for belay. There is a single ring bolt further up for rappel although we just walked off.

The first pitch is 35m, and should be protected with lots of extended draws. From the anchors you can do a 6m scramble to the top, but this is pretty bad climbing and not really worth it

Found the start to be a little dirty, crux before 2nd clip. Long, fun climb. Did on 60m rope, with significant difficulty. Recommend 70m rope. Did not see signs of a second pitch, so seems like 35m. Final anchor is hard to spot from below, on a face to the right.

It gets a bit dodgy after you climb past that pole that sticks out. A fall there could impale you. Good climb though. A 70m rope would have made things a bit easier.

Discontinuous and covered in dirt. I managed to miss a bolt or two - covered in weeds perhaps. The only shining moment is the face climb at the top which was pretty fun. Heinous rope drag for the last clip and anchors. A 70m rope got me back down by stretch alone - middle marker on the rope was beyond the first bolt when I was at the anchors.

Don't top rope this. Aided past the first 4 bolts to get over the rope drag, clean up until the face, then dogged the face till the anchors. The face climb at the top was amazing! Pity about the rest. (Lead climber only clipped 10 bolts and i only spotted 1 that he missed, is it really 12 bolts?)

Long route - got major rope drag at top. Top section great though.
