Ascents in Mt Gibraltar

The crux sequence is as hard as the 22 next door, but not as good, and with heaps of chossy flakes.

Great climb and a super route to learn good footwork.

Old school, hilarious bolting past halfway... don't fall if you're approaching another bolt. Really interesting movements, a little groveling down low, but a great excursion overall. A brown snake slithered underneath my foot on the northern exit, but still coming back for the extension!

Way over-rated, especially p3. Pitch 2 is super funky, combine it with pitch 1 (basic access). You can probably rap off the p2 anchors directly to the ground with a 60m rope, we had 67m. Led p1 and p3 clean, p2 second clean.

Really really hard area to find, make sure to get to the crag early. Approach is very vague and hard to read.

An airy crux

Second p1/2, led P3 all clean. Kind of a shame it wasn't left as a mixed route, it wouldn't have needed many bolts.

Everything was damp, but at least we weren't going to die toproping wet slabs. Fun mantle start

Second P1,2 together with backpack to get out trying Johnny Dawes style ( no hands). Led P3. A single # 2 cam is all you need.

Start was ok, but the Ledgy nature out of view of belayer made ankles nervous

First pitch good, but like all routes grades generous. Second pitch a waste of metal. Soloed to anchors.

The start of each pitch was good, and the start of pitch 2 felt about the right grade, probably because I am short.

Been on the fridge list for a while, nice rock, varied great climbing

Led pitch one, found the 2 ledge moves quite hard, and the face bit on pitch 2 tricky in the mythos.

Very fun climbing, layback 2nd pitch was mega.

Good climbing with some weird custom hangers on the 2nd pitch and a single bolt final pitch. Nice to have some solid pitch lengths here at this grade.

Managed to get a little lost on the 2nd pitch. Everything was covered in lichen. So I got lost on a sport route

3rd &4th pitches really enjoyable, 2nd pitch awkward thrutchy, and very hard!!

1 shot, some sharp holds, some flexing. Running out of time getting bloody hot in the sun. Will have to come back for another shot.

Done as 2 pitches. Led P3. Awesome climbing with a bit of everything.
