Ascents in Bayside as Lead

Lead with pre-placed trad gear.

A bit chossy at the start but very enjoyable near the top.

May have gone too high on the traverse, the pro was sparse... donated my fav tricam just above the pitch 2 bottom belay Definately a nice climb with some balanced moves

Not a bad little climb, good to get comfortable with the rock at point perp. Bit of a puzzle trying to find good spots for pro but it’s not too steep. Some shallow pockets for gear, used a mix of cams and nuts. Tri cams would have been preferred. It’s a nice long route with great views.

Nice way to finish the day, very cruisey.

It was... complicated. Trying to do Bluebeard but ended up at the halfway stance that the book (where it's 17) recommends to start this. Only ok gear for an anchor there but gets better as you climb. Couple of exciting moves through the bulge.

My first lead trad route! So fun!

Wow thought we would turn it into multi pitch Side note... I totally pumped/ bitched out, had a moment in the cave and decided to setup a belay so Al could take us to the top The lead to the cave was picarious and a bit pumpy, don’t traverse too high, try and stay mid level. There are enough places for pro, just don’t spend 10 mins trying to place each one like I did. The crack to take you to the top is beautiful and I wished I could have lead it. Not a whole lot for feet but the fists and jams are suffice so there is no worries jamming. Really nice climb I’ll return to lead the whole climb and not multi pitch it Carrots at the top are hard to find, they are under a small tree. Take full set of nuts and standard set of cams
