Ascents in Windjammer Wall

Awesome with the sting right in the tail!

Well well well! Hats off to Duncan Hunter. This thing is nails! I took some swooping falls onto cams and had one rip out. Did all moves up to last bolt, but got shut down on the bodylength of climbing to top this beast out.

Figured I’d have a play. Linked in to the last bolt of the other route. Unless last bolt to the top is notably harder, this goes at closer to 25. The mono pockets are fun though

Went right at the end by mistake.

2nd shot. Awesome climbing on great rock. Grade 21 jug pulling to the lower off and then sustained crimping with big moves to the top. Take a range of cams for the middle section and bolt plates. Would be done more often if it had a full refit with shiny rings

Seconded this to get out of Windjammer. About 21/22 3/4 of the way and then crazy hard. Still managed to do all the crux moves but broken down with many rests.

Super cool moves at the top. But put cams in the first section to the bolt as falling 8m after a hold breaks off is no fun. Atleast I bounce well.

Blitzed off on a #1 wire on my first shot, a few metres shy of the top.

A searing, white, marble seam which splits off the old classic Windjammer, at half height. I preplaced the gear (tiny wires) like the first ascent team. It's certainly doable placing the gear, and doable to onsight - for a trad gun

Lovely marble seam. Extension first go after scrubbing it on rap. Very body positiony.

Managed to scrape through to the top, cool route with some poor feet and reachy moves. Doesnt quite earn 26 for me.

Indeed it's hard. The moves all went on the first play, but linking it would be hard, protecting it harder

Really cool climbing on some of the best rock on this wall, with better gear and easier moves than I expected (not much harder than Dirty Dancing's finale placing, IMHO). A shame its not an independent line, or it would surely earn "classic" from me. Should see more ascents, though

Not clean. Great to have something new to do (all on gear) when you've done everything else here, but it is really contrived (and kinda hard to decide what exactly is "off route").

Regardless, it has some rad, powerful moves. With my busted wrist, there was a single move I couldn't do today, but otherwise it seemed "achievable"... maybe.

First real try on this Rad Project. Cool climbing to the last bolt and then be prepared for a tip shredding ride to the anchors. Very cool moves all the way

Great pumpy and unusual moves. 2nd shot today, 1 shot last week. This climb just keeps working you all the way

What the hell is with the last few moves on this Will?? Its Nails - 26 - poss 27!!!

This totally made my day. Not a skerrick of chalk, pure onsight drop the clutch action with several "I'm off!" moments. Just awesome.
