Ascents of Our Terminal World having Beta

2nd shot. Went for the true onsight, had a bit of a battle putting on the crux draw, then fell off the only hard move on the route. Very flashable with a bit of beta for the crux. Would be 24 elsewhere, or probably gr23 for "the point" (based on the routes put up in the same era). Short, but punchy and awesomely exposed. Bring a few cams (0.3, 0.5) for the finale. Replaced the poxy belay sling.

DWS anyone? An epic experience starting with a 20 minute search for the carrot (we rapped off the boulders and only found it at the end of the day). This route is absolutely wild; an overhanging arete with a 50m drop to the crashing Tasman with southern right whales swimming below. Pat lead the way and cleaned up the holds, then I snuck in to get the flash. We finished up a flaring fingercrack on the right side of the arete, probably not the full tick.

Fun position. Done on 2nd shot but probably more like 24.

Holly exposure! And crazy run out at the end! Fantastic position. Have to head out and repeat it again soon! felt easy for 25. Blew the onsight at upper crux then cruzed it 2nd shot after 5min rest.

Memorable! Gut wrenching esposure on a brilliant overhanding arete, hanging belay 70 meters above the waves.

What a Fkn awesome way to finish the year. Exposed and great moves. Very Memorable.
