Summary

Sport climbing crag with short approach, idyllic setting, short and hard routes

Description

Oldest sport climbing area in the Zillertal with more than 100 routes on large Granite blocks lying in the valley bottom.

Access issues

The meadow surrounding the blocks is private property. In the past, problems have arisen with the owner. Please respect any fencing or access restriction; do not disturb the cattle. Use the parling and toilet provided.

Approach

Drive southwards through Mayrhofen past Ginzling. Follow direction Schlegeiss Stausee. You'll see the large blocks left of the road on the other side ot the stream. Park on the parking on the right hand side. Parts of the area regquire crossing the stream, which may not be possible in all conditions. There used to be a cable for Tyrolean traverses.
