An outstanding excursion up the upper third of the massive cliff below Cristo Redentor (the big Jesus statue looking over Rio). From Road, get to SE ridge and traverse round to above the massive S face. P1 (* 35m 19) Corner. P2 ( 25m 17) Ridiculously exposed traverse L across slab then bold up slab past 2 bolts, step R after steepening to small belay ledge. P3 ( 30m 13) Trend R up slab, then back L up corner. P4 (* 20m 12) Up L to flake then up to ledge and L to tree belay. P5 (** 20m 19) crux slab past bolts. Walk up to a hero's welcome at the tourist lookout.
