Hard to read crux for the onsight. And a hard sequence for 7b!

Beautiful climbing. Some nice tufa action to a crimpy top. In no way is this a hard 7b+ if you go the right way at the top. Hardest bit is the tufas!

An absolute motherfucker of a finish after everything else. NOT easy for the grade. I blew the OS going for the rail you clip the last bolt/extended anchors from 😑. There’s an inobvious LH pocket that the 2nd to last QuickDraw hides, I missed this and tried to do some dumbass shoulder move to the final rail. With the pocket it feels maybe 7a or so since you can get a higher right foot. If anchors are extended you can clip from the stance on the rail. If you need to hang draws you have one more move to go on some baaaad feet/underclings to a final jug edge for your right hand, above the anchors 😆

Pretty psyched to have taken it this far, hardest and most successful OS try maybe ever for the grade. Won’t come back to try it in my current shape, as it’s so possible to blow it right at the top again…I would just get pissed. The moves themselves are fine in isolation but are definitely lower-percentage if you are pumped. I’d rather smash it into oblivion once I’ve leveled up a bit on power-endurance. Lots of tricky rest stances obtainable in the headwall. Sharp texture.

Drastic improvement in my technique since last go around. Felt a lot more enjoyable today.

Classic movement in a thin, delicate crux. The top is just plain fun on big holds with an overhang. Benchmark 6c+

A thoughtful couple of crux moves requiring fun changes in body position to make the holds work.

2nd go. Took us a while to figure out the start beta since a few of the holds were totally trashed from under-use. After a little cleaning an a beta burn each, the send came easy. Felt like a kilterboard problem. Start on the big white tufa blob to the right of the first bolts.

Blew the OS with a 1-hang entering the single tufa. Got tunnel vision and missed an obvious hold. Oh well
