Tardos is a village in the centre of the Gerecse hills; a short walk takes you from the tidy houses to a shaded quarry carved into solid Jurassic limestone.
There are no temporary or route restrictions on the walls.
From Templom square in Tardos, follow Rákóczi Ferenc street, then Bányahegyi road to the edge of the forest. Park at the barrier, making sure to leave enough space for trucks, which travel this road even on weekends. Walk along the dirt road following the green hiking path signs, and turn right in 900m onto the climber's path that leads into the quarry.
