Ascents in Eweniverse Wall having Beta

Really cool climb! End is nails

Seems very beta intensive. Basically a dyno crux then a technical crux. Could well be 24

Cannot find a way to go up directly after 2nd bolt. Moved a bit right.

Harder then 24 around....cannot work out the move to pass the crux.

The last 2 bolt is dirty.

Easy to past the crux after I get the beta.

There is a bushes around the second pitch. Don't really want to go up.

Need another lap to dial the moves. Too humid today, couldn't stick the sequences.

Dirty + humid = not enjoyable. An okay route. Fell off first moves, sent next shot.

A nemesis. First climbed this maybe 3 years ago and never went back because it annoyed me that I couldn't get it clean. Went back and finished the job today. Fluffed the same move again today, gave the holds a good brush (so chalky/rubbery), and got it next shot.

The edges on the face need a clean - I intend to do this next time I go.

Saw this climb and went up. Failed at the first dead point move heaps but figured the crux out pretty much straight away

After many ups and downs trying to the dead point move I got it, then the rest was cruisy. Technical balancing crux. Thanks Ryan for your patience belaying #2ndgo

First sports climb in Queenstown. Decently fun route.

had to take a rest TWO freaking moves before the anchor and claiming my hardest onsight

Didn't particularly enjoy this one

Loved this route. Should have had the onsight but I slipped at the first move as trended too far on the right for the beginning. Wicked fun! Pulling over the roof was committing hah.

Very Waipapa-esque. Slopers and balancy moves in the two cruxes. Jugs in between. I did it in one hang. The main crux is after the 4th bolt and the conditions were way too hot to stay on the big sidepull sloper for the insecure move right and up. But I think I could have flashed it in crisp cold conditions. Happy to come back for this one at some stage.

Fun warm up, crux just below the last bolt, makes both the climber and belayer on edge haahha

Felt hard for the grade…

Shade! Gear at the start is spaced and less than ideal, then you get to yard up on a large detached block, oo-er. Top crack protects well and leads to an amusing beached whale topout and ledge crawl to the anchor.

Appropriately named. An excellent test piece for that style of climbing. Really cool movement throughout but missing that little je ne sais quoi for its third star. #3rdGo

Difficult start!

Well that took longer than expected. Not auspicious.

Worked out the weird crux that stopped me last time. Top is easy.

Rushed the move off pinches to gaston and forgot to move right foot up. Came off as a result.

#2ndgo - this was my warm up for our whole trip to QT, got spooked by the little pinchy crux by the 3rd bolt 🔩 on my first go. Ah, well

Very chossy! This should have been an onsight but after clipping the last bolt and trying to pull over the rooflet a large chunk of the huge flake I had in my right hand came off and careened down towards the spectators below. I took an awkward swinging fall and hurt my right heel. Luckily the pipe that is above the path at this point saved one of the spectators from getting injured from the rock I inadvertently threw at him! Finished the climb uneventfully after pulling myself up the rope to where I had falled off from.

Shut down on the bulge after the second bolt.
