Ascents in Blouberg

Big place not to be underestimated. Need to take A game. Lots of run-outs. I lead all pitches, varied styles.

Some variation of Last Moon with Clive and Jude for he first 3 pitches (4h!) and with Guy Pitman and Pierre Carter for the following 10 pitches (4h30). On top at 14h30, we did the maze with no stress in 1h and could rest near the stream for the rest of the afternoon. Pitches 3 (Moonshadow), 9 (Last moon) and 10 (Moonraker) were epic.

Had intended to climb Moonshadow, but my partner bailed and I taged on to a stronger team leading this (one of them with his arm in a cast - it was a "rest day" for him). It was right at the top of my ability to follow - finished in the dark without head torches. Wonderful route & experience.
