Rat Rock can be accessed by walking northeast from the Columbus Circle entrance, or straight north from the 7th Avenue entrance to Central Park. Alternatively, enter at the 63rd street / Central Park West entrance and walk directly east. It is a large rock formation located at the northwest corner of the Heckscher Children's Playground and just south of the Heckscher softball fields.
