Steep sandstone sport climbing nestled in a dense canopy with ample swimming holes nearby. Seeps heavily in winter but is a great summer climbing location as the creek stays fairly cool and main walls come into the shade in early afternoon.
Deep Creek is part of Cumberland Trail State Park and can be accessed from a gated parking area owned and managed by the SCC.
The parking lot for Deep Creek is located in a residential area, please respect the peace and quiet of residents by keeping a low profile when driving, parking, and hiking in this area.
The Deep Creek parking lot and trailhead is owned and operated by the Southeastern Climbers Coalition and you must obtain a gate code to enter.
Parking lot closed sunset to sunrise - NO OVERNIGHT PARKING. Please keep dogs on leash.
Follow the trail downhill and across the Deep Creek bridge to reach the main wall.
No camping or overnight parking is permitted in this area. Closest camping is Chester Front Campground at 2318 North Gold Point Circle in Hixson, TN. 40 minute drive from Chattanooga.
No bolting or new route development without a permit. Do not leave fixed gear (quickdraws).
