Ascents of The Good Bastard

What a climb! Couldn't pull the bulge sequence, beautifully varied sustained climbing above.

Got on again to see how it felt and because bailing on permadraws is easier, stuck the crux with 2nd shot after getting to the pocket clean but couldn't get over my foot to the next draw again.

Tried the bulge a few more times and got it again and managed to get to the next draw, dogged my way up to the knee bar then bailed as my nerves were fried from all the scary/hard climbing above bolts. Hopefully the top isn't terrible.

Had to clean off my draws at the start so pulled on to see how far I could get, got the same high point of grabbing the pocket on the bulge and clipping then lost my feet and couldn't grab the left crimper. Not the pumpiest climb but I feel it could creep up on you if you don't rest efficiently.

Got on to see how it felt, got to the bulge and played around a bit before lowering off

Got up to the bulge clean, sat, had 1 attempt at the moves above and stuck the move but chickened out going for the next draw and came back, tried once more and fell which destroyed what was left on the sheathe of the rope, lowered off looking at the core 😬
