don't think this is my irst time climbing it but apparently it is

sharing pitches, made it in 3 as running out of gear

Not for the faint hearted. Needs a very alpine approach as there is quite some loose rock. The crux doesn't really take gear in solid rock so the resulting runout is another challenge for the head

a bit unused but nice moves

only climbed pitch 1 which was nice. The other pitches looked meh

Doesn't seem to get much traffic. Terrific climbing in an awesome position. Some minor lychen and a few loose rocks as in the description of route. Doesn't affect the beauty though

did the start of chancellor direct and then traversed right. Would probably be 17 then as the bottom is the hardest part

everything you expect from an old Henry Barber route: physically exhausting and at the very hard end of the grade

Beautiful! watch for the seemingly loose flakes. I pulled heavily on them while abseiling, they stayed in place. But that might not be like that forever

first pruning ascent, haha. No more branches tickling your back now. nice at the bottom, meh in the top part. Watch out for loose rock in the top part

tried it after climbing the direct version and it is just a very weird entry move

we were doubtful of the fall onto the ledge due to the poor gear and made the wise decision to try this on top rope. Don't regret it as it's pretty average and not worth the risk

did the direct pretty dirty start. Not really worth doing that.

basically a boulder. nice and easy finger and hand cracks before and after that

some loose rock, watch out. Apart from that excellent, puzzling climbing. gear is good

takes more gear than it appears. Nice moves, especially around the left side of the flake mid-route

lead all pitches. first pitch awesome (17), second pitch meh (16), third pitch (18-19) for the masochists like me as it's a dirty grunt fest. I would give more stars if the last pitch wouldn't have had me constantly spitting moss. I think maybe traversing left or right after the first pitch to the sports anchors would be a nice option to enjoy the first pitch without all the dirty work

nice little route, potential to get lost on the way up. I downclimbed and started again

the good old offwidth grunt was in the shade so worth a go

probably the easiest of the lot
