Good way to practice placing gear.

Good climbing. A bit thin up top, but protectable.

Idle hands can be dangerous.

An excellent line, but: sandbagged, much? The first pitch is much harder than the grade suggests. Second pitch is very pleasant, and much easier.

A lovely line of mild trad. Second pitch is the best, but it's all a good time.

A lovely route with nice, straightforward protection.

No gear placements, no rope drag. Superb rock and an atmospheric line. Sublime.

Exposure, much? You're going into space if you fall off the second pitch. And that roof chimney on the third! Fantastic route.

The iconic Arapiles route. An amazing line with some commitment required on the upper two pitches. Beta: take two bolt plates and some large cams.

A completely superb lineup for these two routes. Second pitch had a surprisingly bouldery start, and that overhang on the third!

Great fun. First pitch is the harder, more insecure one with some non-obvious moves. Second pitch is a classy box chimney and much more straightforward.

A technical, unique mega-classic. First pitch was my pitch of the day.

Totally classy. Every pitch a joy to climb.

Totally sandbagged! Should be 3 at the very least.

Soloed it. Couldn't have hurt myself if I'd tried. We don't get much off-width around Perth. This gets a star, purely for uniqueness.

Such a fun adventure, this route. Not many like it in WA.

Just so I can say that I soloed something at Eaglestone.

A short but satisfying trad problem. Two straightforward nut placements.

You don't get many long multi-pitch routes in WA, but this is serious fun and a great day out. It packs a lot of variety into six pitches, and despite some decent runouts it's good holds all the way. Take a friend or two, a full rack of trad gear, and have an adventure. Expect 1.5h walk in, 7/8h climbing, and 1h walk down,

Good route. Protection is pretty sketchy for the top third.

Classic route. Doing it multi-pitch only feels slightly silly.

Good warmup route. Easily protected with several small cams.

Found this an awful lot harder than the 14 grade would suggest, more like a 17/18. Mainly due to the difficulty in setting protection, much of the climb was run-out to an unsettling degree. White-knuckle trad climbing at its finest. Lots of loose rock, as you'd expect. Our progress up the face was too slow, so we had to traverse out at the top of pitch two via the Prickle Traverse (this was mercifully a safe and straightforward walk back to the tourist trail). Next time.

Found it a bit hard to protect.
