Ascents as Red point or Greenpoint by Moxi

My fingers were so cold and numb on my first go today and I fell on the second crux. Took the opportunity to thoroughly check out the upper section from the last bolt to the anchor and found some better holds and better beta a bit more to the right. I really didn‘t want to fall again so close to the top 🙈 It really paid off as my second go was quite smooth and I wasn‘t pumped as much and could use all the small rests I had found ✌🏻

Crux felt a bit counter-intuitive, hard to onsight

Finally!!! Tried this route many times over many years and I‘m happy it worked out today! 🙃

I take it as a good sign that I couldn‘t do this route 9 years ago and today it felt quite easy. Broke a hold on my first go right at the top.

Pumpy warm-up

Crux in the middle. The sequence is hard to read and it took me a bit to find a solution for me. Super hard for the grade (could even be 7b compared to the routes we did over in Lariosauro )

Hard section between the first and second bolt. I didn‘t dare to commit to the moves so I pre-clipped the second draw. Did the rest of the route OS. Last few draws were quite pumpy. Didn‘t touch Ghiro‘s nest

One-move-wonder with the crux at the second draw. Missed the two-finger-pocket on my first try, went back down (Leo needed attention) and sent the whole route right afterwards. Liked the moves, the pocket looked suspiciously artificial, though 🤔

One move away from the onsight 🙈 spent too much time looking for a better foot placement and ended up slipping right before the final jug…

Quite bouldery and not very skin-friendly 😅 but super cool nontheless

Bad beta choice on my first go 🙈

Decided to try this route again today and surprisingly sent it on my first go Bouldery start and then another boulder in the middle

Fell right at the top on the onsight while going a bit too dynamically to a slippery crimp because I didn’t see a small but good crimp on the left which would have made it much easier 😅 Really enjoyed this route!

Hard! Basically just a boulder around the first 3 bolts. Scary when you don‘t know the route because you could potentially take a grounder if you fall before the second bolt.

Awesome route! We did the whole thing in one push and our rope was way too short. I imagine it being better to go up to the first anchor and belay from there otherwise you‘ll need a ton of draws, a 100m rope and will have huge rope drag 😅

Got to the last bolt on my onsight attempt and saw that probably the last hard move is some kind of dyno so I desperately wanted to clip but it was reachy and I got so pumped in the process that I fell 🙈 Second go went smoothly, luckily the „dyno“ turned out to be a slightly dynamic move if you put your feet in the right places

The route starts with some pumpy and sometimes a bit reachy but more or less obvious moves on mostly good pockets with some rests in between and ends with a potentially heartbreaking finale. Fell right before the anchor on my first go 🙈 second attempt went quite smoothly once I knew what to do

Went for the bad monos on my OS go. Didn‘t see the good slot on the left (it‘s hard to see even when you know it‘s there). Once you know where the holds are it‘s not very hard.

I tried this route 4 years ago and now I‘m very happy about today‘s send! 😊 The crux is quite fingery and powerful on small pockets and some holds look much better than they are

2nd go. Hard to read boulder in the beginning followed by sustained climbing with a small second crux which felt super hard on my redpoint attempt. I skipped a draw and luckily didn‘t fall - would have been quite the whipper 😅

Short bouldery sequence on sharp crimps. I onsighted the lower part but already knew the rest of the route from the day before.

2nd go. Quite technical and hard to read on the OS.

What a perfect day in the perfect location! We had great conditions in the evening when the sun was setting and even a herd of mountain goats showed up. Now I know why this sector is called like this

2nd go. Easy start, then crimpy traverse to the right followed by two powerful and dynamic moves and then plaisir on jugs to the top

2nd go today(A few years ago I did some attempts and remember hopelessly pumping out on it 😅). Such a classic line!

Not the best conditions today with lots of sea spray and high humidity. Foot slipped on the greasy footholds on my second try.
