Grade Route Gear style Crag Quality Date
V1 Everyone Loves A Slinky - with Fabian, Wen, Lu, Francesc Boulder 4m Devil's Peak Very Good Tue 29th May 2018
Fun, bit harder more committing than the LHV

V1 Snowball Boulder 7m Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton) Good Sat 27th Jan 2018
Good. Top felt pretty high (probably partially due to the trees branches getting in the way)

V1 Rumsfeld's Known Unknown Boulder 2m Rocky Paddock Camp Ground Sat 10th Nov 2018
So-so

V1 Lunch with Sandy Boulder 2m Rocky Paddock Camp Ground Good Tue 20th Oct 2020
With lie-down start from lowest jug this.. still didn't feel remotely close to V4. No harder than the traverse, possibly actually a little easier as you can start in the right position, Quite a nice climb given the diminutive size of the boulder

V1 Easy When You Know How Boulder The Enchanted Forest Don't Bother Mon 25th Apr 2022
Fun to hear of the struggles, less fun to climb. Straight forward, just single move climb with bunched start

V1 Lowrider - with thestig Boulder 2m The Enchanted Forest Very Good Sun 17th May 2020
Nice low mantley climb

V1 Problem Banana Boulder 3m Halls Gap Area Mon 23rd Oct 2017
First climb/warmup

V1 Cat's Meow - with Margaux Boulder 6m Halls Gap Area Tue 30th Jan 2018
Fun. Some passer-by spectators.

V1 Cracked Spec's Boulder 3m Para Wirra Average Wed 8th Apr 2020
Flashed despite the start hold in the crack snapping off while pulling on.. Start feet are still a bit dubious but otherwise the rock seems fairly solid now. Bit contrived feeling not using the left-arete as most of the difficulty comes from contorting around the ledges to the right

V1 Weill Wrong Boulder 3m Halls Gap Area Sun 13th Dec 2020
Good from sit-start also

V1 Pink Face - with thestig, Rhett Boulder 4m Dry Creek Mon 20th Apr 2020
Start hold of this was extremely loose and now gone - this can still be climbed much the same (there's a good start hold just below), but the dyno eliminate is likely a fair bit harder

V1 Gardenia - with thestig, Rhett Boulder 3m Dry Creek Good Mon 20th Apr 2020
V1 Captain Pugwash Boulder 3m O'Sullivan Beach Fri 29th May 2020
Nice enough

V1 Focused Determination Boulder 4m Hallet Cove Bouldering Tue 31st Mar 2020
Think this is the climb which follows the wide right-leading crack

V1 The Lonely Whale - with Margaux Boulder 3m The Enchanted Forest Mon 12th Mar 2018
Fairly straight forward except for what turned out to be a misplaced pad and having to call over a sunbathing-spotter

V1 Who Needs Ten Kilos of Mulberries Boulder 2m Blue Mountains Mon 22nd Apr 2019
Nice looking line and climbs well, one of the nicer climbs here. First move from sit-start was good

V1 Adelaide to Amsterdam - with thestig Boulder 4m Hallet Cove Bouldering Good Wed 6th May 2020
Quite nice traverse, the moves around the corner were fun. Also fun the opposite way, and can top-out as for LLTK

V1 V0 Twin Peaks Boulder The Enchanted Forest Sat 6th Jul 2019
Good climb, although wouldn't make for a good fall

V1 V0 Aunty-style Boulder 1m Rocky Paddock Camp Ground Mon 12th Oct 2020
V1 V0- Purity Boulder 2m Rocky Paddock Camp Ground Tue 20th Oct 2020
Felt harder than Freddy J - holds below the lip aren't great, and the lip is pretty slopey

V1 Fat Neck - with Nicola, Jack Boulder 3m Norton Summit Sun 24th Sep 2017
V1 The Traverse - with thestig, Eben Edwards Boulder 6m Belair National Park Fri 15th May 2020
In approach shoes. An alright climb, nothing too remarkable. First attempt foiled by grass interfering with lower footers.

V1 Fairy Head - with Michael Boulder 3m Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton) Average Sat 18th Aug 2018
Messed up the awkward sit start, so done on second attempt. Stairway to Heaven was vastly nicer climb

V1 Check Your Traps Boulder 2m Mt Stapylton Amphitheatre Sun 24th Nov 2019
Err, took more attempts than the V4..

V1 Parallel Cracks Boulder 3m Rocky Paddock Camp Ground Mon 12th Oct 2020
This is really fun as an eliminate, using only the main crack for feet/holds - climbs as really balancey arete. Also mostly doable as pure jamming line, but not so fun

V1 Hung On Crack Boulder 4m The Enchanted Forest Sat 12th Jan 2019
On first attempt, but possibly went a bit of route at top - went slightly left on onto ledge instead of directly as the description implies, but wasn't going to try it again.. Not a great climb... Crack had accumulated a bunch of dirt/leaf debris. Several chunks of rock came off while climbing, and a few of the handjamps were against what felt pretty loose rock. Might be okay with a bit more cleaning, but there's more interesting stuff nearby.

V1 Bubble Boy Boulder The Enchanted Forest Sat 23rd Feb 2019
A large chunk of the jug hold was very wobbly and broke off. Don't think the grade changes as the hold is still good, just maybe a tiny bit harder without the jug being positive as a sidepull, but still felt V1. An okay climb, probably one of the nicer of the three

V1 Extraterrestrial - with Margaux Boulder 2m The Enchanted Forest Mon 12th Mar 2018
Good. Did this previously but don't recall the date

V1 Heel Right - with jay wilson Boulder 3m Blackwood Sat 30th Mar 2019
V1 Against The Grain Boulder 3m O'Sullivan Beach Fri 29th May 2020
Good climb, with a few nice variants possible (Crow, or topping out further to the very left)

V1 The Kids are Restless Boulder 3m Blackwood Sun 5th Jul 2020
Nice enough climb, avoids most of the cave's dankness being on the lip, although the holds accumulate a bit of mud after heavy rain

V1 Simple Simon - with thestig Boulder 2m Rocky Paddock Camp Ground Mon 18th Sep 2017
Nice easy dyno, also did as static with intermediate crimp

V1 Middle Face Left Boulder 2m Blue Mountains Mon 22nd Apr 2019
I'm assuming this is a stand start, as the sit seems significantly harder than a V1 (only a slopey RH sidepull and poor cramped feet)

V1 Unnamed 4 Boulder 3m Black Hill Sat 29th Feb 2020
This felt far more committing than I recall it from last time - rock is pretty friable, and crux was last move to the top, standing on almost nothing, popping from a not-great crimp. It's possible a hold has come of at about 3/4 height, as there is a clear patch of rock there. Nicer of the three slab lines here, just shame the rock quality is slightly sketchy

V1 Cigarettes and Mediocrity Boulder 3m Mid North Bridges Mon 11th Jun 2018
Topped out and surprised a family who were out for an afternoon walk, mother with a can of Jack and Coke in one hand, cigarette in the other.

V1 Bubble Baby Boulder 3m The Enchanted Forest Sat 23rd Feb 2019
Awkward climb.. and not in a good way. Not sure if the weird separate-looking-block-which-is-actually-attached footer at the start was supposed to be in, but seemed rough for V1 without it

V1 A Birth of a Caveman Boulder 4m Marion Bay Good Tue 11th Sep 2018
Passing through on short trip to Innes National Park, determined to climb something given the confusing lack of even a single recorded climb on the entire peninsula. Some of the stuff on Penguin Point beach looked interesting but the rock is horribly sharp - so was pleased to find the rock on the eastern corner has been smoothed out by the waves. This climb was a really fun easy semi-roof, fun, marred only by a slightly premature end as the rock becomes a bit crap/sharp (and anything resembling a top out looked horrendous, especially with no pad). Didn't have time to look closely at the boulders along the rest of the eastern beach, and the tide was kind of high - definitely potentially for a good few more routes.

V1 Dangerous Currents Boulder 2m Port Lincoln Bouldering Sun 30th Sep 2018
Good holds but required quite a bit of tension to hold them. First climb of the day, wasn't warmed up so might be overgraded?

V1 Buzzing Boulder 3m Reedy Creek Sun 23rd Jun 2019
Good, and grade seems about right I think

V1 Baby Cricket Boulder 4m Reedy Creek Thu 25th Jun 2020
Rock still felt faintly wet as hadn't gotten much sun, which made the top feel pretty.. exciting (although I had missed a good hold in the crack higher which would have make things a bit more secure). Can be climbed in a lot of different ways

V1 Melted Icecream - with Fabian Boulder 2m Port Elliot Sun 18th Nov 2018
Looked like a good warmup, slightly harder than it looked.

V1 Traverse - with Jess Boulder The Wind Shelter Average Sun 27th Jan 2019
Brief stop as we were passing by. On previous visits have tried this and always struggled moving into the poor right side-pull. Worked out better beta this time which made is feel fairly easy (wide left foot and sort of drop-knee into the poor hold, move feet around, then left hand into the good diagonal slot). Did on second attempt today, after hand greased of the sidepull. Finish is a bit anticlimatic - would be better to head up Moth House instead, which would also avoid the deteriorating rock

V1 ASDA Chicken Wings - with Jess Boulder 4m Mt Cole Mon 6th Jan 2020
Lower part might be easier facing the other way, but would probably make the top-half sketchy. Not sure about grade, but felt about V1'ish, but potentially V0?

V1 Wee Bit Driech - with Jess Boulder 4m Mt Cole Mon 6th Jan 2020
Much nicer movement than Nae Driech, particularly in the transition, plus a nicer top-out. However, while the holds used all seem reasonably solid, so did the other ones that broke of with some light brushing. Fall is good providing you can pad the gap between this face and the boulder at the bottom (a Mad Rock R3 squishes perfectly in providing a good flat landing)

V1 Shark Seat Boulder 3m Para Wirra Wed 22nd Apr 2020
Starting mantle is quite fun, rest is a bit discontinuous and mossy

V1 Needs More Dog - with thestig Boulder 2m Hallet Cove Bouldering Good Wed 6th May 2020
Quite nice climb. Rock might need a tiny bit of cleaning, as one of the starting jugs looks a bit questionable (but there's a solid hold right-next to it)

V1 Big Caboose - with thestig Boulder 2m Rocky Gully Wed 13th May 2020
One move mantely thing

V1 Formless Boulder 3m Tcharkuldu Mon 15th Jun 2020
Perfectly nice climb, just nothing too special when compared to all the other climbs around here!

V1 Scoop Scerene Boulder 5m Tcharkuldu Very Good Tue 16th Jun 2020
Perfectly located boulder. I climbed up, chatted to a nice old couple in distance who were exploring the rocks around the summit, then afterwards realised I didn't look at all how to get down.. Could have potentially climbed the lower-angle side but there's a 2m steep section at the bottom, so seemed safest to downclimb the way I came, although the crux is probably at the top which made this slightly tricky

V1 Jumping Frog Boulder 2m The Big Green Frog Fri 11th Mar 2022
Fun. Doable without losing the right footer but still very dynamic.

V1 Crouching Tiger, Hidden Frog Boulder 3m The Big Green Frog Fri 11th Mar 2022
A drop knee makes the start fell quite easy. Feels about same grade as as Frog Attack

V1 V0 Sydney Highrise Boulder 5m Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton) Classic Sat 27th Jan 2018
First few moves were harder than expected, but really nice climb. Managed on second attempt after messing up move to last of the small lower holds - just as it was getting too hot to climb (probably mid 30's by 11:30am), and I had run out of water.

V1 Action Potential Boulder 5m Neagle's Rock Thu 28th May 2020
Lots of water seeping on lower half of wall. Thought I could climb around it, but several of the dry footers were large loose blocks - stemmed back onto the tree, tried a higher hand hold and it too was loose, so, nope. Didn't feel any harder than TNHL

V1 Lillyput - with Nicola, Michael, Valentine Boulder Hollow Mountain (N & NE side of Mt. Stapylton) Sat 23rd Jun 2018
Seems exceptionally hard for grade, felt like we were missing something (Val did it by moving from start hold to 2-finger pocket with poor feet, pull up and bump to large crimp? Rest of climb was easy from there). The cave on the boulders above this is really cool
