Solo no pad. Feels possibly soft but so jug tastic for granite

Quite a nice solid sequence and easier than V4

Super happy to flash this. My kinda problem with power jugs. Found a sneaky knee bar in the roof. A very easy V4 to Sanguine.

Was showing this to Ben as a warmup. In hindsite I now remember that Underbelly starts on the lowest part of the rail and I had worked this line but not sure if I'd actually done it before. I flashed it (thinking it was the V2) and was repeating it, and I think my right crimp was too aggressive, or too early in the morning, or all of the above. A pretty loud crack ended my day before it really started. A2 pulley on right ring finger, probably a grade II / partial tear, so not good but not too bad in the grand scheme of things

Got it again first try. Happy!

From stand start, cool finish

Headed for here as it was probably the only dry problem nearby. Raining properly now but worked and resent it in a couple goes. Decided to leave the pads here to get headlamps and come back and see if there was any problems underground in the cave, then got distracted by cold pizza in the car, then by crawling through storm drains, and then the crew turned up for a caving trip and it was only once I was home that I discovered we'd left the pads there! Ben Vincent to the rescue

Did the more direct version, grab the good pinch with right instead of left, then bump out to jug on right and then chin up as you swing to avoid the dreaded bum dab

Finally sent! One fumbled misstart, but then clean all the way second time. Amazing what is possible when fresh

Really happy, this is a sweet problem. Felt impossibly last time but only took about 4 goes this time to unlock it.

Took a few goes. Snapped a corner off the Gordon jug The rest is very loose

Did this but fairly differently to Chris and Foong who could ape their way up to the side pull. I used the left knob (possibly off route?) and just mantled directly up with out the side pull. Probably V3

My back was feeling pretty broken by this stage, gave up went scouting. Came back for one last try or two and three and then caught it.

Lots of pumpy fun, needs some brute force or sneaky heel hooks

Was pretty worked and this felt impossible again, just like last time I did it, and then it all just resolves. Maybe 5-6 goes. Bumped it to a V5.

I'm not sure if I've given this a proper work before, I think I've been daunted by the look of it. Got up it after ~6 goes. A few people got up it and consensus is to downgrade it a tad

Took a couple goes but very happy to send this too. Burly dyno from the undercling rail direct out to lip, then double toe hook while you hand traverse left.

Yes! I'd worked this before but been shut down, but got on it fresh and nailed it first time.

Possibly a first ascent? Pretty fun and surprising no one's done it, the void is a bit exciting. Got it second attempt, on my first attempt my whole left calf instantly cramped after the heel hook.

This was a nice problem to work, great moves through the rail, landing the little pocket is ok but marginal and sticking the sloper felt nails but then slowly unlocked and then send train

Knew I didn't have that many attempts on this but had a couple and had pretty well given up as I wanted to save skin and was already pretty hacked for 2nd problem of the day. Then Alan and Ben both got psyched and did it so I pretty well had to do it. Threw badly, mis-caught the holds, fought it, wrestled it, and somehow sent it. More chunks missing now

Took a few attempts to find the good bits. Got it fourth go. Up to the big jug but didn’t mantle but that seems to be the meat of the problem done anyway??

Not sure if it was the cold temps today but I jumped on this and got it first go. I struggled on this months ago. It certainly is not due to my 'covid training'

Thought this would be impossible, but then Carol started scrubbing it, who then gave it a crack and thought it was impossible but then I got psyched. Maybe 6 attempts, it's only really 1 move off a slopey layback hold, holding the barn door as you scream

Took a bunch of attempts. Desperate feet, opposing gastons, and the top isn't trivial once you get there. Would be significantly easier if you had 3 more inches of ape than I do

First try got to jug around the corner totally pumped. Second go with some inelegant mantle action

Messed up the start but got it second go. Very marginal friction and kinda trying to pry open the welded seam to get anything out of it

Tried this quite a lot gradually chipping away at it, starting left on the really low crimp for balance. But turned out matching and just a big dyno sorted it much quicker

I wasn't sure what to make of this originally, but once the pine needles were cleared this produced a gem but not up the line I was expecting. Very delicate and barn doorey and reachy. Took around a dozen attempts and coming back to it between other stuff

Wow this thing was a great fight and I nearly moved on a couple times. Ben and Benji did it different which worked with their ape way out left, I found a better sequence for me which is more direct into the saddle off a tenuous sloper and then into slosh, and then stuffed my feet up and fell. Then much chalking and drying later and another couple attempts finally nailed it. Super happy with this send

This is borderline not worth a write up, but its also the obvious finish to a mega hard problem which starts on the rails and goes directly up the arete. My guess V8-V10

This was quite a fight, super pleased to get this after a few completely meh lockdown weeks with almost no training of any description

I first tried this 11 years ago! We intended to just have a look at this and then chase some underground shade at FC, but then we thrashed ourselves for 4 hours straight, maybe 20 attempts? I was done numerous times: left hand was swollen from the jam and right tips were shredded, but psyche kept regrowing. In the end some new subtle beta eliminated the jam altogether. Super stoked and quite unexpected. Now it just needs a proper start on the underclings, the two moves into where I started will likely bump it up to around V6-7

Psyched myself up and did the 3m jump across the canyon to get off instead of the cave

Got on this on a whim not expecting much while dragging a pad and to my surprise got it second go. Which then trigger the silliness to the left

Tricky feet, and then once you really get the undercling at the right angle its all good

Stoked Volo got this for the 3rd ascent. Almost day flashed it, but ripped off the sweet crux undercling and was gutted. But turned out its still quite doable without it, maybe slightly harder but same grade. Got it 3rd go.

I still can't nail the end move but had the best attempt so far, just nipped the jugs and swung off

Siege of different tactics, this time trending more into invert offwidth and away from the brute force layback

Surprised myself by getting up the crack section fairly easily, but wussed out cause it gets high pretty quick

Cold fingers at end of day didn't like the last sloper

Have done every move, just an stamina game from here.

So so close, had a bunch of attempts and got pretty ragged. Crux is the wide span on crummy feet
