Ascents as sport by Courtney Darville having Distinct route

Probably moved a little too far to the left onto the 18 during the onsight attempt between the 4th and 5th bolt. Went back and resent it afterwards cleanly going straight up the face for the crux.

Apart from the crux towards the beginning (3rd-4th bolt?) before the jugs begin higher up, felt on the easy side. Was quite fun holding onto the big ledge of the feature, and felt satisfying mantling onto it. Took me some time to figure out the crux on very thin crimps but the rest of the climb was fine.

For me, the crux was using one of the very crimpy ticked holds in the beginning for my left hand to reach the 3rd bolt. This hold was the reason my partner could not complete the climb. I also wouldn't be surprised to find such a hold like this on a 22. However I found the rest of the climb fair to the grade... Not sure why people were saying the crux is reachy, unless I happened to miss-climb the section around the fourth bolt and go out too far to the right (I found this the easiest way to clip the fourth bolt - on my first attempt took an unnecessary number of falls trying to work out how to clip).

Great climb, sustained climbing for the first 7-8 bolts. Super run out to the second last bolt (climb gets easier around there but still a bit scary). Got a bit tired to get the onsight and ran out of time for the clean send so will have to go back for it next time.

Loved this climb, but accidentally climbed it as a warm up as we confused it with a nearby 19. Decided to rest on the thin crimps crux section, then finished the rest of the climb with no problems. Would love to try it again not as a warm up when there's time.

Flashed this climb 2 years ago, tried to repeat today, but way too tired. Still a great climb though.
