Called it early as I blew a hole in my finger on the third attempt

First half of the climb has some interesting and fun movement.

Once you're trying to climb the sharp chossy face with one pad and your only spotter is the hundreds of mosquitos it's a little less inspiring.

Just about putting it all together.

After a 13 session siege split over 8 months, it finally goes. Happy I gave it one more session.

Butter me up is the by far the hardest V6 I’ve climbed, maybe that’s a style thing, maybe Tooheys is hard.

A crumb of progress. From not being able to pull on start of last year to slapping the sloper with relative ease yesterday.

The 5th session on this thing since coming back in February. On the third session I fell on what shouldn't have been a droppable finish.

Trying to scrape some lessons out of this as the last two sessions have felt like I've gone backwards. The rain, wet rock, humidity, and heat probably aren't helping.

Amazing climb. I'll probably give it one more summer sesh and if it doesn't go I'll come back to it later in the year when I’m hopefully a stronger and better climber.

The V3s at Rooflet Boulder were markedly more challenging

Getting reacquainted with the moves

This thing was a bit of a nemesis Boulder. Blundered the V3 finish a couple times before I finally got it.

Only tried it on my send go of The Joker. Finished on the Bane jug like a gumbie. I’ll have to go back for it, feels like it would go quickly with a knee pad, probably not a 7 but I’ll have to send it to judge.

Honorary send goes to Justin for bringing the knee pad. This thing feels at least a grade easier with it.

2 moves to go! Gaston feels surprisingly good, I'll be back.

4 pads was enough but it would be nice to have 2 more.

Still a banger

Pretty stoked to take this thing down. First of the grade for me and it seems fitting it happened in the underground, the same place that got me into outdoor bouldering. Honoured to hop on the send train with Tim on this 3D cave classic!

Humid solo session. Found consistent beta for transitioning into the undercling jugs at the end of the crux.

Linked in two parts! First session on this thing and progress was surprisingly quick. One move and a long V4 guards the send.

Such satisfying moves, a classic of the cave for sure!

Another long-term project put away this year! Absolutely stoked.

Every move felt incrementally better than last time. Good progress

Sent the previous session trying out the finish for the traverse

Kept struggling on the final move getting to the flake. Felt like blaming skin, the real blame was probably my shoddy slab technique.

Doesn't really feel like the extra couple moves warrant V6. G&T is probably a touch soft making this a decent V5.

My wingspan is pretty average but could definitely see it being a grade harder for those on the shorter side.

Fun explosive extension to Gym and Tonic!

I need longer arms or much better conditions. Probably both!
