weirdly the most straight forward grade of the weekend. big gear to the rescue. I love the climbs that chill out at the top so i can just enjoy life and the view and top out thinking i love climbing rather than swearing off it for life. the word 'soaring' is certainly not used lightly

16 Hermes - with Tom Bes
1 16 24m lead by Tom Bes
2 16 26m lead by Jake Delaney
Trad 50m Orroral area Sun 13th Feb 2022
feels like a baby sibling to spartan in the bluies, first pitch and all. did not heed local advice and found the roof a bit more cruxy than usual due to spooge nation. biggest piece was #4 and sure its fine, but if you enjoy stress free climbing, bring a #5.

16 Horse-drawn Zeppelin - with Mike Trad 12m Frog Buttress Tue 25th Jul 2023
fits the bill for jake's fav type of climb

16 Castor - with ash Trad 22m Frog Buttress Tue 13th Sep 2022
sad to see this as a 16 on the crag but oh well. the climb that taught my to trust chockstones and to yank on them no end to get up the climb. my first ow moves at frawg! on day one! how good!

16 Satan's Smokestack - with ash Trad 40m Frog Buttress Wed 14th Sep 2022
a delightful respite from the sun. the plethora of cracks to choose from inside the smokestack was overwhelming

16 The Wars of the Roses (pitch 1) - with Tom Bes Trad 22m Wolgan Valley Very Good Thu 25th Jun 2020
Corner, crack, many yellow c4s, great stances. Did use a 4 up top. Just watch some of the hardware on your rope-or don't and you'll be fine. Enjoy pulling the rope and thank the Wolgan Titans for assisting you in the process.

16 California Dreaming - with Tom Bes Trad 10m Orroral area Mon 23rd Jan 2023
some glorious fingerlocks MMMMM delish!! glad the book gave this no stars but still called it one of the better cracks around

16 Brick Dust - with Ethan Trad 22m Arapiles Mon 23rd May 2022
climbed something called brick easy. This into squeakeasy after the crux bulge. Nice way to retrieve my gear. And got to work the crux moves of squeakeasy, which went in isolation. so that was a minor win after a big day of shutdowns. i was waiting for a shutdown for the entire trip and when it finally came, i felt like an absolute failure. was not ready for the emotional dejection. felt gross at the time, but was a valuable experience in hindsight. i am now at peace with my status as an abject failure

16 Nail Biter - with Liam Reed Trad 10m Gibraltar and Corin Road Wed 24th Aug 2022
stiff and spooky first climb of the day. But so epic and worth it. And great view of some SNOW ah mountains you are nice

16 16/17 You don't miss the zohan - with Tom Bes Trad 30m Blue Lake Wed 30th Dec 2020
contrived fursure, but with so many ways up the corner who cares? finger crack up left side of corner, to try to stay exclusively on the right side from here on up. some good jams and gear, great way cap the trip without another epic ensuing

16 18 Pendragon - with Tom Bes Trad 9m Woronora Lookout Average Fri 20th Mar 2020
gear is shocking but you don't need it (but probs try)

16 Materialistic Prostitution - with Marc Trad 20m Frog Buttress Fri 21st Jul 2023
delightful outing! if only the jams kept going! i guess then it would be gladiator?

16 Deep Space - Sickle - with Tom Bes
1 Second lead by Tom Bes
2 Trad lead by Jake Delaney
3 Trad lead by Jake Delaney
Trad 90m Orroral area Sun 22nd Jan 2023
omglob the runout on pitch 2 - like yes its fine but it's most certainly don't fall climbing. and then the wall behind was equally as unprotected with just some dodgy cracked flakes for gear. harder climbing than the slab with way more fall potential. the final pitch of sickle was sick. sad but also stoked Tom handed me the sharp end. One tough move into the crack and then it was 'jam your way to the hearts of millions' (another fav way to finish a climb)

16 Warm It Up - with Tom Bes Mixed trad 10m, 1 Earlwood Thu 18th Nov 2021
i maybe climb this every time? and for good reason

16 18 Common Origin Mixed trad 15m, 2 Narrabeen Tue 28th Sep 2021
had more fun on the 13 to the right. this felt like another ladder-like 16

16 TPI Trad 10m Narrabeen Fri 24th Sep 2021
more holds than i was hoping for

16 Jason - with Geoff Gledhill Trad 30m Arapiles Wed 11th May 2022
woah so slick. as in the slickest thing i climbed all trip - glad to not be on the sharp end

16 Brolga - with Ethan 'The Slammer' Barber Trad 90m Arapiles Wed 18th May 2022
fact: only way to make an 'R' rated climb safer is to simul it and climb it in one glorious pitch. a climb i will gladly climb time and time again

16 Reprieve - with Tom Bes Trad 35m Blue Lake Wed 30th Dec 2020
a good time romp

16 The Gates of Janus - with Aurora Pandora Trad 50m Blue Mountains Tue 25th Apr 2023

2 16 24m lead by Tom Bes

worst pitch in the mountains followed by the best. but the second pitch thankfully makes up for its ugly junk sibling below. ps i guess we bailed?
