East of the access track
15 Iron Butterfly - with Grace Daff, Jill Trad 28m Good
Quite nice climbing for the first two thirds of the climb. Some great exposed moved in the middle. I regretted not bringing hexes. The last portion felt more like a technical scramble and wasn't great for protection, so I just ended up running it out, but I'm sure it could be protected if you wanted to. Belayed off a tree at the top (near the top-out), but it didn't feel ideal. The tree certainly doesn't deserve all the rope pulling. Would have been nice to have the actual anchors - otherwise would certainly do it again.

Great lead by Mary! Was very glad to rediscover this excellent climb.

15 Rest Area Ahead - with Mary Trad 10m
Good access route to the ledge

14 Electronic Flag - with Mary Trad 40m
I always remembered the climbing quite cruisy on this one (other than the 17 or the 19 start), so decided to do the easy start this time... Let's just say it wasn't as "cruisy" this time around... after heading for the wrong crack, whipping on a moving chock stone and completely shattering my ego, I'd say I would never dare to think of any climb at frog as "cruisy"...lol

21 Conquistador - with Quentin Trad 45m Mega Classic
What a journey it has been! After coming to frog for the very first time a little over two years ago, I could have never imagined that one day I would be ticking this absolute classic - best climb in the freaking world!! There is no other way to describe it… Brilliant crux move that took some time to unlock short-person beta for, absolutely stunning!! No words - too stoked now!!!

19 Hollywood Rattlesnake - with Renee Trad 18m Very Good
Strangely, it doesn't get any easier the more you do this climb... Lovely!

15 Pixel Princess - with Renee Trad 15m
Quite hard for the grade, would be tricky to place gear with slippery feet...

22 Old Guard - with Chris, Renee Trad 40m Classic
Fell off trying to transition from laybacking to fingerlocks in the second half... Really enjoyed the climb though!

Sun 19th May 2019 - Frog Buttress
East of the access track
20 Egotistical Pinapple - with ReneeHelm Trad 14m Very Good
Great well-deserving send by Renee! Don’t think I’ll be leading this one any time soon, but I was genuinely impressed with how bomber the passive placements were on this route.

21 The One That Got Away - with Mary Trad 35m Mega Classic
Felt MUCH better than the first attempt. Also it helped that I took more small cams with me, so didn't worry about placing them when needed. The key for me was to keep moving and avoid resting too much. Overall, this is probably my favourite frog climb now, with very cool moves and extra wide stemming. Freaking awesome!

22 Yankee Go Home - with Chris Trad 26m Mega Classic
Freaking brilliant!! Absolutely loved every move! Definitely a line I want to lead one day.

20 Dream of Purple Peach Popsicles - with Chris Trad 32m Very Good
Great climb with fantastic moves, but it would be a very bold lead... will have to wait a while for this one yet.

18 Iron Mandible - with Chris Trad 24m
Probably one of the more intimidating climbs I've done at Frog so far, mostly for the head game. Once past the bold start, it doesn't really let go and the wide section at the top doesn't feel as secure as it looks. Nevertheless, stoked to have ticked it!

Sat 20th Apr 2019 - Frog Buttress
West of the access track
19 Magical Mystery Tour - with Elissa, Ash Trad 34m Classic
Actually, it was by far the most epic I've had at Frog so far! With only one 4.5 cam, had to bump it up many times, going through the wide section, which is especially scary as you go out on the face to do the moves. So next time, will definitely bring more gear of that size. But, overall - amazing!

22 Lonely Teardrops - with Elissa, Ash Trad 22m Mega Classic
Absolutely loved the climb. Great finger crack, brilliant moves and the best part - glory ledge when you pass the crux! Splendid!

Mon 15th Apr 2019 - Frog Buttress

20 Devils Dihedral - with Chris Trad 45m Mega Classic
So stocked now - first Frog 20 tick, and it's freaking magnificent! Amazing line... very pumpy et endurancy, but soooo good!

Sun 14th Apr 2019 - Frog Buttress
East of the access track
20 Rack and Ruin - with Chris Trad 40m Classic
Brilliant climb! Very sustained the whole way and a few tricky & pumpy sections along the whole route... I strangely enjoyed the OW section at the top, which was less dreadful than I expected. Would definitely recommend this, but would be a bold lead, imo.

Sun 3rd Mar 2019 - Frog Buttress
East of the access track
20 Rickety Kate - with Elissa, Sinead Trad 15m Mega Classic
Amazing moves, great line! Still lots of work before attempting on lead, though...

16 Winston Alley - with Elissa, Sinead Trad 10m Good
Felt much harder than a 16, but the guidebook says it's harder for shorter people, so... Definitely need to be comfortable moving on small gear and footwork is king for this one.

Mon 1st Oct 2018 - Frog Buttress
West of the access track
18 Hello Sailor - with Elissa Trad 20m Good
Good intellectual climb (in the sense that it really makes you think about the moves)... Great route!

19 Electronic Flag DS - with Elissa Trad 10m Very Good
The start seemed a lot harder than I remember, mostly because of the slipping feet at the start... Not sure if the heat has something to do with it (or probably just my lack of laybacking skills) but definitely wouldn't feel comfortable leading this one yet.

Sun 23rd Sep 2018 - Frog Buttress
West of the access track
20 Cock Crack - with Chris Trad 38m Very Good
Great climb! Got to practice OW, which seemed super nice, lots of face features too!!

Sat 28th Jul 2018 - Frog Buttress
East of the access track
18 Resurrection Corner - with Jerry, Pablo Trad 25m Classic
Just when you think you may be getting decent at crack climbing, this little number just won't give it to ya ;-p The wider section in the first half actually took me by surprise, I didn't realise it was wider than fists there (I have small hands). But now that I know what to expect, will definitely be paying this fellow another visit soon ;-) Oh, and will bring more #2-#3 and another #4 next time.

16 Century - with Jerry, Pablo, Martin Trad 15m
Great climb overall. The wide section felt better than I thought, tbh, but definitely bring a #4.

16 Horse-drawn Zeppelin - with Jerry, Pablo, Martin Trad 12m
Nice. Fun. Short. Mostly a face climb with a few random hand jams.

Sun 24th Jun 2018 - Frog Buttress
West of the access track
13 Clockwork Orange Corner - with Sophie Trad 15m Very Good
Felt hard for a 13, but then again... grades at frog tend to surprise quite a bit ;-) Definitely bring big cams on this one (even if you're a top gun). The moves are awkward and holds quite polished...

17 If - with Sophie Trad 30m Average
The start felt a bit scary, mostly because it's really hard to protect - I could only place one decent black alien.. Then pretty much a huge runout until you get to the piton... so definitely need to have a strong head game to appreciate this route. Then it's fairly easy terrain. The wide stemming moves at the top are quite cool... The route wonders to the left quite a but, so probably a good idea to bring lots of extenders... I think I got a little bit off route into the moss land towards the end... Definitely worth a lap, but probably wouldn't rush to do that one again.

19 Sorcerer's Apprentice - with Elissa Trad 30m Classic
Super stoked to have done this one! Loved it - from start to finish. Great gear, super nice jamming the whole way up - quite sustained, but you get just enough features to take a breather here and there. The start felt tricky and perhaps less secure than the rest of the climb (just because it was quite thin). Then, as the climb widens at the top (camalot #2-#3), there's a bit of a pumpy section, but once you power through, the rest is a scramble. Definitely recommend it!

20 Piranha Trad 45m Classic
Such an amazing climb! Fingers, hands, stemming, bridging, face - the climb has it all!! Each section definitely gets you pumping and then it switches styles, just before you exhaust yourself - brilliant! Thanks again for the lead, Elissa! Oh, and take a second rope!! Coming down with a 70m was tricky, to say the least.

18 Fluid / Epic Link Up - with Elissa Trad 30m Very Good
As I'm starting to break into the 18-19s at Frog, I felt it was a wonderful climb! The first third of the climb on Fluid, I'd say was definitely the hardest section for me with some thin hands, but you get treated to some really nice hand jams just before you get onto the ledge half-way up. Then traverse to the Epic line - felt quite scary and committing, but you get great gear just before, so feel really amazing once you step over. The second half (top part of the Epic line) feels quite cruisy afterwards. Although, not sure if my onsight is 100% legit, since seconded Epic Journey just before...

23 Epic Journey - with Elissa Trad 30m Classic
What a treat it was to try this awesome climb! Quite a technical "sequence-y" start. Thanks for the lead, Elissa!

18 Plume - with Jack Potter, Elissa Trad 25m Classic
Absolutely brilliant climb! Great combination of hand jams, finger jams (which felt quite solid) and face climbing. The hardest part for me was about 1/3 of the way up - where the crack thins out and you need to power through until you get to a nice juggy hold... I have to admit, I was almost sure I was going to take a whipper, but somehow pulled off. Another tricky section is at the top where you need to switch to a face climbing mode. Definitely my biggest stoke at frog so far!!!

14 Faki - with Jack Potter Trad 13m Very Good
Fun little climb... having to do 2 pitches to get here makes it kind of epic. Nice protection and great hand jams the whole way up. Lots of rests!

Sun 3rd Jun 2018 - Frog Buttress
West of the access track
17 16 Micron - with Bruno Trad 20m Good
Finally got to do this climb today - I'd definitely classify this as a face climb (well, probably except for the stemming/chimney start). Very good protection the whole way up. However, I was quite happy to have borrowed some Aliens from Josh, otherwise would have been quite a bit scarier ;-) Some bomber nut placements... Oh, and I abseiled after doing Elastic Rurp just before to check out the placements, so missed the onsight, but quite happy with lead nonetheless

Sun 27th May 2018 - Frog Buttress

15 Bad Company Trad 20m Good
Personally, I felt it was harder than a 15.... but then again, I'm fairly new to Frog and trad climbing in general. Definitely hexes are a good fit for this one - I didn't have any and definitely regretted (ended up using a no. 2 camalot as passive). There's good pro the whole way up, but because many holds are less than positive, it definitely makes for a tricky head game in a couple of spots. Nice climb overall!

Sun 13th May 2018 - Frog Buttress
West of the access track
18 Elastic RURP - with Simon Eschbach Trad 20m Classic
Amazing climbing and pro all the way! Great hand jams and rests right where you need them. Brilliant route.

Mon 7th May 2018 - Frog Buttress
West of the access track
15 Bad Blues Trad 22m Good
The start is really nice! Super solid hand jams... but the top airy section is not great, since even if you place the pro in the chimney, you're still falling directly on the ledge... so a bit of a mind game at the end... took a me a while to find the rap chain (it's on the right side behind/down the ledge that you top out on).

First 18 trad lead and on such an amazing climb! We've been practicing this one for a while, so feel so stocked to finally send it on lead!
