Ascents by Pip Wells

Fun climb. Lots of pro. Sadly we copped a windy day, and were part of a large group doing it. As all large group assaults go, it took forever (enough time to get bored of it by the top of the second pitch). Easy enough to string all the last pitches together (from the pinnacle to the top), just expect plenty of rope drag and crap communication if the wind is up.

Great slabby start, and an interesting overhang to finish. Can be a little run out if your confidence overpowers your patience. Lots of small placements.

Great route. Looks worse than it is, and certainly doesn't feel the grade. Average pro in places. Commit and follow the chalk.

Fun little piece. Maybe a one move wonder, but it is a good mental puzzle.

Scummed my way up the crux pitch. Great climb if you can commit. Turns out I couldnt..

Awesome route. Brilliant climbing and some gnarly exposure in the last few pitches. Highly recommended.

Very fun (for a boulderer). Pumpy start with some important sequence depending on height. Jugfest to the top after the roof. Follow the chalk.

Chimney is good fun. Some average pro placements - keep your eyes peeled, the good ones are there. Walk a few meters SW from the top for the good anchors.

Fun and very well protected - make your second work, place everything you have. Nifty (but otherwise purposeless) knee-bar in a section.

Not bad at all. Don't overthink it. Lots of pro in all the right places, except for the belay where you might end up sitting in a puddle.

Great starter piece for lead. Millions of options for bomber pro of every size. Crux can be a little desperate. Take comfortable shoes for the longish walk down if your feet hurt.

Meh. Good training for placing gear. Bouldery start to super easy sustained jugs. Think three dimensionally for feet. Great kids climb.

Great climb. Crux is a bit creepy on lead, but seconding no problem. Plenty of exposure on the climb down.
