Gotta trust your feet on this. Good moves, grade 20 feels about right.

Redpoint attempt: got through the hard bit smooth-as, then slipped off the finisher. Careless, but not unhappy with this effort.

Nice warmup. I suspect I spent a bit much time in the corner.

I might have enjoyed this more if it hadn't started raining midway. Nevertheless, some good moves.

Old school climbing! In the sense of widely-spaced bolts, the first of which is a certainty of crippling injury in the event of a fall. I made that okay, and the second, but couldn't figure out the hard move to gain the third. Nonetheless, a great line that I'll come back to.

A very pleasant surprise, way better than expected. If it were at ground level, I'd describe it as "must try".

The first pitch is fairly straightforward, the second is a lot more challenging (hats off to Kym). Second carrot on the 2nd pitch (after the hanger) is in a butt-clenchingly high spot.

I can do pretty much all the individual moves on this, while fresh. The trouble is stringing them all together.

This is nails hard. At least I cheated my way to the top this time.

A pleasant enough warm-up.

After a discouraging practice turn, I was very pleased to make it up this entire route. Superbly atmospheric moves up the arete, followed up by haaard slab moves on tiny features. Thanks to a patient belay partner, and mad props to Kym for doing it clean on lead.

Got up with plenty of shouted beta. This is the best of what I climbed today, possibly of the whole crag. Remarkably consistent in difficulty over the entire route.

Eh, it was okay. A bit muddy.

I made the blank section look much harder than it should be. Trust the rubber!

Good mix of moves. Easy for the grade.

Setting up/retrieving gear for offspring to have a climb.

Another trad lead experience, again making shameless use of Kym's gear. Top half: faaaaark, it's pretty thin holds. Better trust your feet and those stopper placements. Felt like a 19 today.

Short, but wicked good laybacking until the lip. Plus a good kneebar!

Always a pleasure, climbing someone else's (good) cam placements.

Slabby start, then a cruise up the arete bit. Good warmup.

Had a spin on top rope. Eh, it was alright. Going to be much harder when that big first flake pulls off soon.
