Ascents by Ulfi

Really a fun climb on big holds. Some longer moves down low which felt harder then 5.9 and then I have no idea if I missed anything. Unfortunately our last climb that day as the sun came in right from above.

On our next attempt to climb at this wall we were attacked by bees and abandoned the area....

What a cool line through the center of the right wall. A reachy boulder move off the ground and then a few surprises higher up on the horizontally structured rock. I found it quite hard to the anchor but then I really have long legs ;-)

Good fun on big structures - don't be scared to pull on them, seem all solid.

A really fun route - i think I was on teh one right of it for a while but a good intro into climbing on this amazing rock.

Very nice line, bolts are a bit further apart and one or 2 holds are loose but very nice and long moves. Good holds separated by poorer ones, and a fun finish on big holds - don’t worry about the long sling on top and the run out! A pity we are leaving, this would be a nice project.

Went down directly today, really nice.

I think this is what I climbed, hard to say in the maze of bolts and anchors.

Missed the safe hold after the crux when putting the draws. Second go was not as good, crux is actually a foot crux after bolt 5. left the draws on as the place closes at 4pm!

Nice route, should be longer. It’s also a bit close to the new one right of it - had to ask to choose the right anchor 🙈

Super line, harder start to bolt 4/5 and then easier on bigger holds but still pumpy.

Slopey line with few good holds in the middle and a sting at the end. Steamed out with the pump 😂

Great and tall line, nice moves with good rests.

Climbed this one first and down climbed as the top rope line was in the anchor. Easy on big holds.

A nice pocketed line, just too short, on great rock. the abse of the cliff is a bit exposed and overgrown but worth the hike.

More an adventure than climbing. This cliff hasn’t been climbed in a long time, great rock and always shady would make it a great location. Bolting is risky to deadly even though all holds are good and the rock is solid. The anchor is solid, chains and ring. Couldn’t see an anchor of the extension though so I didn’t continue. The route left of it looks mellow too (shares last bolt and anchor) - decided it’s not worth it. This cliff is crying for some development, potential for 30, 40 routes probably.

Did this again as first route late afternoon (as it was hot and sunny) - super cool still

A short and steep crack, my feet just hurt too much to do it seriously...

A must do, really complete route with great features, crimps and slopers and cracks. Fell of the sloper in the crux as I was too pumped..

Reality nice climb along the Crack and then Right and up. Hardest is probable the bulge at bolt 1 but cool all the way.

Climbs the left side of the pillar, almost stairs in the beginning that can.be quite dirty but fun.

Hard start, especially for shorter people and a crux in the middle, great line all the way.

Nice dihedral with a fun roof exit.

Went on this at the end of the day - didn't work out - probably harder than Killer which is graded 7a.

Did this as warmup, not a great choice as the beginning is pretty hard on the right arm. Overall an ok line but also a bit starnge to move to the intermediate anchor (which is just 2 bolts).

Super line on bomber rock! Unfortunately last nights rain made the top a bit slippery but anyways, I would have needed more time to make the crux at about bolt 4 to 6 solid - must do if you pass here.

Very nice but hard for the grade

Nice route with good holds but a sting ath the end that puts it at 6b+ or more for me.

Not as nice as the others, maybe reachy in the middle but very hard to the anchor.

Also quite dirty still but easier than the others with reasonable but very dirty holds at the bulge.

First of the day on this newly developed cliff. Very dirty and a tricky and hard to read section on the final bulge - mantle your way up. Needs lot of cleaning!

Probably the nicer one of the routes with big cobbles but a lot of rope friction at the end.

Wow, what a waste of bolts - the hard part ist the first 4 bolts, then it trends super far right on easy terrain (but fully in the sun). Impossible to clean other than top rope. You might top out and walk down.

Nice climb with a fun crux - should climb more left to the anchor. I think I missed the bolt line and went to a different one. Easy climbing high up but a lot of lichen.

Nice route, climbes straight into the sun at the crux and grabbed something unholdable for me.

Nice start on teh first section with smaller pockets (right), the second bulge after the ledge is good too but again full of lichen - had to hang there once.

A fun climb on the left side of the rock. Not everything seems super solid an dthen this wasn't climbed much yet i guess...

This is pretty covered by lichen down low where it is a bit harder which made the pockets hard to hold - sat at bolt 2 to clean. The podest up higher is pretty overgrown, next climber should bring a machete

Real fun with a tiny roof down low - upper section a bit dirty and loose / needs more cleaning.

Went 2 more times but decided to give up as my skin was getting bad and there was no way to finish it on the next day... Nice line though and the conditions were great with a lot of wind!

The draws were on so I went up cold from draw to draw, seems hard on top with a few very sharp holds in between. The section in the middle feels easier where you climb right but also the start is a bit bouldery - recommend to stick clip!

Went once more to check it out - feels not doable for me within just a few days, especially the top. I might clip the last bolt from the last good right hand but the next pocket hurts as hell and then there are still 2, 3 thin moves...

Super nice climb - was fully in the sun but the trick is that you have all your crimps and feet right in front of you on the arete which makes it very balancy - ad i failed

Great crimping all the way - as always here, high feet, small holds - awesome....

A great line, imagine this was bolted more than 20 years ago! Tricky higher up when you move right and need to use super small feet - failed there....

The only route we found to be polished in Amatitlan - feels much harder than 10c.

What a great line, nice crimps, high feet. Took teh right variant with the crack high up. Crack was filled with bats screaming but they left me alone

Super fun climbing on the arete and a cool finish with the crack-arete on top.

Fun climbing to the tree, climb the tree to a full rest and then start pitch 2 which is really great rock with one trickier move.

Super line up to the roof and the a small crack to the anchor with a small run out. Pumped already out in the middle and couldn't figure out the way to the anchor ....

Had to climb it to understand the differences in grading that you find for this one. Initially started on the left (which is now called the variant here) but then climbed from down low which is really nice! The route is good but not as good as the other 2 on this wall. Messed up the crux move at bolt 3.
