Need to focus on running for UTA100km. Nice to feel some closure today empty handed. It’ll always be there! 23 attempts total over 10days, so far best go I one sit it on red point. Psyched to have the beans for this thing without any time spent in a climbing gym or on a hang board, just running trails and climbing cracks! Keen to come back in The future. Seems more like a 27-28 IMO compared to all other trad routes I’ve done around Aus.

Bittersweet feelings! Happy to finish off this project, will miss being able to come out here when I had no other plans and take in all the beauty of the surrounding ranges. What an amazing journey. First ascent was done on pre placed gear, would be happy to see someone red point this, though I wasn’t keen to break my ankles with gear that I found tough to aid on Easier 27 with preplaced, would be a very tough 27 placing gear on lead Thanks Dave for a great day out! Abseiled into big grassy! 1 shivering night on the ledge, freed 90% despite dogging every pitch other then the 24 and the troll toll hole to sunshine glory. Dave really was the MVP - the power of friendship got this one done! A little above my pay grade but stoked to aim to free this rig with little to no climbing of late

This line has lured me for years - maybe the first time I came to Booroomba I thought this was the line. It’s location, position over Canberra and the actually climbing was very enjoyable - quite the test piece. Gear was thin but bomb proof, utilised the 2 bolts with draws, placing all gear on lead Psyched to go back to back with my brother man dude, the Prince. Nice to get it done first shot on lead, I was at the limit

First shot on lead - 3 shots in total after trying it a few years ago. Sent this in the pouring rain, although conditions felt perfect funnily enough. Was made even better by the quick back to back to back send train by Dave and Matt as the rock slowly become a waterfall. One of the more memorable outings and will leave a lasting impression of that climb for me

Very reachy crux a lot won’t be able to make - a nice relief to put this to bed had a lot more then just climbing involved - not sure I’ll ever climb at Pierces again.
