Ascents as sport by Sam May having Distinct route

First grade 24 redpoint in almost ten years, I think

Shamelessly milked every liedown rest. Happy to get this, but the best part is I can now pick a better rainy day project!

The top is good. Bottom crux took me a while and felt a bit janky, not my favourite move.

Brilliant and atmospheric. Some wet holds under the first rooflet. I found the top crux hardest.

Old school and stretchy. Freed the crux and climbed to the top but didn't try to redpoint.

Dogged to hang draws, then 3 redpoint attempts. Next time, pre-tape middle 2 on the right hand.

One hang.

I'd have preferred long quickdraws for the crux bolt, and bolt before that I think, otherwise dogging the crux shreds the rope over an edge. Didn't spend to long because of that. Backjumped to clean.

It's alright. Almost dry - except for the alcove below the roof which was wet and muddy.

Hanging draws and checking moves. Clipping the chains is hilarious

Good and steep, but although the shoulder's mostly better I have no fitness! Backjumping was fun though.
