Another trip highlight! Always nice if the crux is on tufas. 3rd go overall. #sportRP

Just for fun because the rope was there. Couldn't link anything from the start of the first crux onwards.

A fight to get all moves! First half and boulder problem: Classic! Headwall with glassy non-holds: meh! Max said that there's a good sequence through the headwall. Gotta check it out again.

One fall one take. Efficient until first crux. Still a lot room for improvement and generally heady for me at the moment too. Fun stuff!

Draw to draw, all moves done in around 20 minutes.

Send go but ended up rehearsing the top crux. No fall until rooflet, then depumped and figured out that the top crux is not a smear standing up from the gaston but instead going further right on little chips to stand up on decent footholds with the help of the undercling pockets. Tough 7b+ I'd say. Great tufas and later single tufa style with interesting and challenging moves to the easier rooflet with juggy, grey tufas. Headwall is insanely techy and thin with a LOT of friction. Costs some skin to project. Generally pumpy. Will return stronger.

Awesome roped bouldering. This thing makes you strong! Hard but not desperate moves. After putting QDs in yesterday it felt so much better today. Did all moves and got rests down to two.

7b+ 7b | ★★★ Pomponidoux - with Danny Paradorn, Sebastian Wolf | 30m, 13 | Kalymnos | ★ Good | Fri 23rd Sep 2022 | |||
Did not get easier. Trickiest 7b on Kaly? My vote for a 7b+ upgrade. Especially hard for tall people to fit into the corner.

Beautiful moves. A little polished but not too bad. Super fun first half that felt 6c-ish. Could do the first hard bit clipping off the two sidepull scoops. Could hold the sidepull pocket after the long move but couldn't clip from it. First fall of the trip.

6c-ish climbing below and above a hard, thin tufa pinch boulder – maybe 6 moves. Had to aid that section.

Essentially two routes in one. A stellar, very overhanging 20 to 25m 7b/+ with big moves, big holds and therefore tons of possible kneebars (Pad right or both!), an awkward spot to reach two mushrooms (reaching the left mushroom from the left seemed the easiest) and the boulder crux on a good righthand sidepull, a possible left heelhook and some mediocre holds (Could be around FB 6B+) in the obvious blank spot of the route, lead to two full recovery rests: A big, skinny stalactite you can stem against and a perfect, obvious saddle (full rest) just above. The remainder is a very good 6c/7a also with a lot of possibilities for kneebars but demanding some creativity. Several options for the anchor clip. I used a right hand sidepull.
