Mon 26th Feb 2024 - Blue Mountains
Katoomba Area Ngula Bulgarabang/ Radiata Plateau The 24th Dimension
24 The Infinite Centimetre - with Liv Sport 30m, 15 Classic
Following Liv, fell at the top crux trying the crimp-match beta. Still stoked on this wall, such nice rock

Sat 24th Feb 2024 - Bouddi National Park

21 Spider PIG - with Liv Sport 10m, 5 Good
Mantle start this time

22 Scallops — 2 attempts - with Liv Sport 10m, 5 Very Good
Struggled at the crux for a while until I tried reaching over the top of my left arm. Briefly really hard for 22. How nice is the rock at the start!

Sun 18th Feb 2024 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Bardens Lookout Little Triggers Wall
20 Go Lotto - with David Barrie Sport 22m, 7 Very Good
19 Little Triggers - with David Barrie Sport 25m Classic
Sun 18th Feb 2024 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Bardens Lookout Rod's Ravine
20 Two Nil - with David Barrie Sport 25m Good
Inconsistent bolt spacing makes otherwise forgettable climbing more memorable.

Sat 17th Feb 2024 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Oronga Crags Banksy Wall
23 Terra Nullius - with Liv, David Barrie, Jeff Matt Sport 22m, 12 Classic
Awesome techie slabbing!

22 Barrel Blow - with Liv, David Barrie, Jeff Matt Sport 28m, 16
Awesome! Really liked the whole top half of this route! Agree with another comment - unsure why this one didn't get a halfway anchor like the others, as the character changes abruptly at the same height as polar opposite.

18 The Polar Opposite - with Liv, David Barrie, Jeff Matt Sport 20m
23 Talk Crime - with Liv, David Barrie, Jeff Matt Sport 23m Very Good
Really tough before the anchor. Plenty of good rests, but still very pumped.

Sat 27th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Farside Main Wall
25 Dark Energy - with Giga Crew Sport 22m, 13 Mega Classic
Fell a couple of moves lower this second time. Out of juice. For next time, match the narrow rail below anchors.

25 Dark Energy - with Giga Crew Sport 22m, 13 Mega Classic
Shoulder caution to the wind. Fell one hold from the anchor. What a wild ride!

24 Brain Drain - with Giga Crew Sport 20m, 11 Mega Classic
Hanging draws, sat quite a bit. Worried about my shoulder being less than 100%

Sun 21st Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount York Ashes to Ashes Area
25 Ashes to Ashes — 2 attempts - with Jared Tyerman Sport 18m, 7 Classic
Latched the dyno hold on the onsight with fingertips and held it for a long time without being able to do anything but eventually peel off, whoops! Fun powerful climbing with nice sequences the whole way.

Sun 21st Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount York Deep Freeze Area
20 Deep Freeze - with Jared Tyerman Sport 18m, 11 Classic
18 Uncle Amy - with Jared Tyerman Sport 16m, 6 Classic
Awesome for the grade. How goods that pocket!!

Sat 20th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Farside Main Wall
25 Captain Kurko - with Matt Clawson, Big Farside Crew Sport 22m, 12 Classic
Had to dig deep as I developed a raging pump, but enough jugs and a sketchy kneebar did the trick. Would be good to try and turn this into a laps route

24 Brain Drain - with Matt Clawson, Big Farside Crew Sport 20m, 11 Mega Classic
Too busy to try and onsight anything today. This thing was mega!

Fri 19th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Katoomba Area Ngula Bulgarabang/ Radiata Plateau The Egg
24 The Deal with Space - with David Barrie, Tim Winterflood, Chef Matt Sport 15m Very Good
Love how non-stop the climbing is for the first four bolts. The jug rest really takes the sting out of the final moves. Stiff 24 or soft 25.

24 The Deal with Space - with David Barrie, Tim Winterflood, Chef Matt Sport 15m Very Good
More warming up and refamiliarising

24 Red Demon - with David Barrie, Tim Winterflood, Chef Matt Sport 14m Classic
Warming up took a long time today. Was getting pumped between bolts.

Sun 14th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains

Sat 13th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Porters Pass La La Land Area
23 Legoland - with Matt Clawson Sport 25m, 9 Very Good
Rpt. Juuuust before the sun. Double Gaston beta is the go!

24 Escape Velocity — 3 attempts - with Matt Clawson Sport 20m Classic
Thought this was better than la la land, and probably a bit easier too. Foot slipped at the first bulge to end the onsight early. Found some nice bump beta for the crux, but changed this to a nicer static beta after bumbling the second attempt. Very sweaty today. Strangely experienced some send jitters after the crux

Sat 13th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Porters Pass Dogs, Cats & Apples Wall
19 Powerbra Rangers - with Matt Clawson Sport 23m, 8 Classic
Rpt

Sun 7th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Ben Trovato Wall
23 Reigning Steel - with Liv, David Barrie, Dec, Issy Sport 17m, 7 Very Good
25 Vespasian's Wall (Pitch 1 only) - with Liv, David Barrie, Dec, Issy Sport 25m Classic
More sustained than I had initially expected to reach a good rest. Had a good throw for the first edge, but no flash today. Figured out that I liked getting high feet, frog hips, up right to shallow pinch, then grab edge. Another day

Sat 6th Jan 2024 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Heathcliff
22 Bad Blood - with Big Crew Sport 45m, 17 Very Good
Really nice climbing with a crux up the top of pitch two that wasn't hard for the grade. Could lower on an 80 comfortably.

23 Leighsageezer - with Big Crew
1 22 23m Sport
2 23 25m Sport
Sport 48m Very Good
Thought the grades could be reversed on the first two pitches. Linked and had to rethread on the 80

22 Thing 2 P1 - with Big Crew
1 22 17m Sport
Sport 17m Classic
Awesome feature, some great movement and cool holds. Classic!

22 Pumpkin Puree - with Big Crew Sport 50m, 10 Good
Linked both pitches, 80m rope was enough but gotta let the tail pop through the gri gri

Sat 30th Dec 2023 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Bardens Lookout Historic Wells
23 ~24 Alive 'n' Kicking - with David Barrie, Matt King, Liv Sport 25m Classic
Took at the first bolt trying to go direct. Stemming worked much better the second time around. Onsighted the rest of the route. Pulled a number of sequences out of my ass on the upper wall. Thought this was quite a stiff little unit, probably still would feel stiff even if you knew the moves. Very worthwhile! The name seemed appropriate, as I "kicked" up a high right foot at least 3 or 4 times

20 ~19 Funkytown - with David Barrie, Matt King, Liv Sport 10m Classic
Super fun! Shame there's not more of it

21 ~20 Tree Beard - with David Barrie, Matt King, Liv Sport 10m
Great rock, not 21

Fri 29th Dec 2023 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mitchells Ridge Grace Gully
24 Mogambo - with David Barrie Sport 16m Very Good
Warm-up to the biner below the roof. A nicer warm-up than the 20

25 Codeine — 4 attempts - with David Barrie, Jason Capenecas Sport 15m Good
Good flash go with beta from Dave. Managed to fluff it around the same spot (the mono) two more times though before sending. Nice climbing in the lower half (though a bit grainy) which is quite on, then the top wasn't too bad but quite dirty, even with a brush (and always will be).

Sun 24th Dec 2023 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mitchells Ridge Grace Gully
24 Mogambo - with David Barrie, Chef, Thirsty Sport 16m Very Good
24 Mogambo - with David Barrie, Chef, Thirsty Sport 16m Very Good
Surprisingly good flash attempt, fell with hand on anchor jug, just didn't go deep enough to properly get it

20 Oh! Shut up! - with David Barrie, Chef, Thirsty Sport 15m Average
Isalright

Mon 18th Dec 2023 - Mount Keira
West Face
20 One Blank Wall and 3 Bloody Rooves - with Liv Sport 12m, 5 Very Good

Second bolt recess leverages the biner on the rock just below

Sun 3rd Dec 2023 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath Pole 28
21 Path to Paradise - with David Barrie, Matt King, Catland Sport 15m, 10 Good
Got down and seems I did a hit job on my already feeble pulley. Time to stop ignoring it

Sat 2nd Dec 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Main Wall
27 Unplugged - with Many Sport 8m Good
Quick inspect, fun moves up to a much harder boulder. Didn't manage all the moves, but have an idea for how it must work. Might be interested to try this again without a taped finger

24 The Disintegrator - with Many Sport 7m Average
Bit of fart-arsing around trying the moves again. The tight slot is very hard to get well. With a high left heel and deep back flag I can actually get it alright, just felt a bit tough to move feet afterwards. Got the jug and kept my foot on when fingers were set well in the slot. Ran out of inspiration to keep trying it today.

25 Madge McDonald - with Many Sport 12m, 7 Classic
Warm-up, sat at last bolt quite pumped and confused

24 Iona - with Many Sport 12m Very Good
Quite good, not too hard at the grade and the finish wasn't thaat shit. Probably seen someone on this before, but didn't help one iota

Fri 1st Dec 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen White Linen Wall
26 Nappies Patrique? - with David Barrie Sport 10m Good
Snuck it in before a dog bit my face.

Lovely conditionas

Tue 28th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Corroboree Walls Fashion Area
24 Work Cover - with Liv Sport 20m, 9 Classic
EOD draw retrieval mission, got to first anchors and then took to the air when the hold I was resting on breathed its last.

19 Pushover Pinnacle Direct - with Liv Sport 20m, 9 Average
The start boulder is fun (x4 bolts is a lot of bolts for this), but the top is bongo drum pox.

21 Queen Bitch - with Liv Sport 15m Classic
Awesome feature which was quite cryptic at the start and especially so at the finish.

24 Work Cover - with Liv Sport 20m, 9 Classic
The original route is classic. Excellent rock (even arapilesian down low) and classic mountains crimping. Was incredibly pumped in the top half where the rock gets a bit dirtier and the moves less classic.

23 Fashion - with Liv Sport 15m, 7 Classic
Tough little unit, very cool

Sun 26th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen White Linen Wall
26 Nappies Patrique? — 2 attempts - with Matt King, Catland, Lachlan Sport 10m Good
Took a couple goes to figure the moves out between 3rd and 4th. Not a bad little route to do when youve done all the classics. Will have to return.

Sun 26th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Wave Wall
25 Rubber Lover - with Matt King, Catland, Lachlan Sport 20m, 5 Classic
Spooged off in the crux

22 Vulcan - with Matt King Sport 20m Classic
Yikes

22 Scorched Earth - with Matt King Sport 20m Classic
In the sun-ish but had to go back for those wild top moves. An action packed finale for sure.

22 Vulcan - with Matt King Sport 20m Classic
Goodness gracious that damned crux, mummified finger sure ain't helping

23 Abbey Road Extension - with Matt King Sport 40m Very Good
Flash-sight after Matt had a play at the lip. Warm those hips up!

22 Scorched Earth - with Matt King Sport 20m Classic
Went right when I should have gone left. Scary whipper haha

Sun 19th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Pierces Pass Yesterday's Groove Area
23 Rutger Hauer - with Thirsty
1 18 30m Second lead by Thirsty

Jugz 4 dayz

2 21 30m Sport lead by Luke Yerbury
3 23 45m Second lead by Thirsty

Linked last two pitches. Third pitch is really classy. Great rock and not too hard (assuming you don't pump easily).

Sport 110m Mega Classic
Just what the doctor ordered for the second multi of the day - jugs! This is a classic blueys multi which really deserves to see more ascents.

24 Yesterday's Groove - with Thirsty
1 22 35m Sport lead by Luke Yerbury

Excellent stemming with a few tricky bits to get your brain going for p2.

2 24 40m Second lead by Thirsty

Well led by the big fella. A real tough sequence a few bolts before the anchor. I just managed to squeak it out clean on second.

3 24 30m Sport

A lusty traverse indeed! Dropped it at the move off the pocket. There was three holds to go for and of course I chose the worst of the three.

Sport 110m Mega Classic
Epic multi, all pitches high quality. Deployed the 100m static for an easy rap in for this and rutger

Sat 18th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Porters Pass Sail Away Wall
25 Wipe Out — 2 attempts - with Big Gang Sport 30m, 8 Mega Classic
Finally got around to trying this. Pretttty classy. Conditions were quite still and humid, so found it hard to get any linkage on the second lap

Sat 18th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Porters Pass Dogs, Cats & Apples Wall
20 Nice Vice Baby - with Big Gang Sport 20m, 9 Classic
Fri 17th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Logan Brae Main Cliff
28 Big Hit with the Kids — 2 attempts - with David Barrie Sport 15m Very Good
Figured out some nice beta for all the new tricky bits. Had my heel slip as I went for the pre-traverse jug on my second lap. That final move at the anchor is a real bastard!

24 Post Swing Jitters - with David Barrie Sport 18m Good
Love me a David Barrie Spray Down™. Not bad for a no star route. If you like rock climbing, good chance you'll find something to like about it. Cool moves turning the lip. 5 bolts where Mountain Ant has 9 lol

Mon 13th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Pindari
22 Much of a Muchness - with Liv Sport 30m Very Good
Not bad, but pales a bit compared to the other two.

20 This Sporting Life - with Liv
1 19 15 Second lead by Liv

Pretty nails for shorties, so many reachy moves.

2 20 28 Sport lead by Luke Yerbury

Epic! High quality stone

Sport 43m, 15 Mega Classic
21 Rampaging Roy - with Liv Sport 30m Mega Classic
Thought this was pretty spectacular climbing at the grade, at least as good as TSL.

Sat 11th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath Sooty Crag
19 Sweep - with Catland Sport 25m Good
12:20 is a terrible time to start climbing this route unless you want to burn the inside of your skull everytime you look up

19 Soo - with Catland Sport 25m Good
22 Vulcan - with Catland Sport 20m Classic
Fell on the arete crux with good beta, yikes! Thought I'd do some footwork jazz and then barn-doored off. Excellent rock and climbing.

22 Vulcan - with Catland Sport 20m Classic
Tried to pull the moves off the deck. Was excited to get to the lip but this is where it really got fucked. Couldn't figure anything out that wasn't 25/26+ so climbed the tree. Fell on the arete crux with bad beta

18 Abbey Road - with Catland Sport 20m Very Good
Bit runout down low but the gear is decent enough the rest of the way. If you've lugged the rack out for windy row, give this a lead on gear

Wed 8th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Main Wall
24 Ratcat - with Liv Sport 14m Very Good
Cheeky warm up on an old project

24 Whodunnthat - with Liv Sport 17m Classic
24 Whodunnthat - with Liv Sport 17m Classic
Excellent! Cool sequence off the deck. Dropped the onsight at the sideways crux below the roof. Found some sick kneebar beta going up and right instead of right and up. The top jugs reminded me of Wally's World

Tue 7th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Diamond Falls Mr Wall
26 Super Weak - with Big Chef Sport 20m, 8 Classic
Fell on the final heart-breaker! Changed my beta from a drive-by to matching the pocket and - again - it feels much more secure. Keen for another visit!

26 Super Weak - with Big Chef Sport 20m, 8 Classic
Linked up to crux (getting the left hand side-pull above the flake), but move was too low percentage. Tried Matt's heel beta, which is much more secure, love it! Couple sits to the top.

26 Super Weak - with Big Chef Sport 20m, 8 Classic
Hanging draws and remembering beta

Tue 7th Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Katoomba Area Narrow Neck Diamond Falls Access Ledge
23 You Crazy Diamond - with Big Chef Sport 26m, 9 Classic
Followed the chalky ramp to the right at the third bolt and came off. Lovely climbing!

Wed 1st Nov 2023 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Pierces Pass Bunny Bucket Buttress and Hotel California Area
18 Bunny Bucket Buttress - with Matt King Sport 270m Mega Classic
Last route of what turned out to be a massive day. The "Quad Crown", the four easiest pierces multis all the way to the top (i.e. including top pitch of mirrorball), self-supported in a very underwhelming time of 14.5 hrs car-to-car. Had to battle to get her done towards the end there as cramps and foot pain settled in, thanks for the quality banter and being an excellent climbing partner all day Matt King

20 Randy Rabbit Ridge - with Matt King Sport 280m, 99 Very Good
22 Hotel California - with Matt King Sport 330m Mega Classic
Cleaned up first pitch this time around after a fall at the rooflet
