The Sydney Rockclimbing Club (Rockies) has been around for more than 60 years. There’s always something happening within the club and always someone to go climbing with.
The Rockies is a group of climbers who share a passion for rock climbing. The club offers a great opportunity to meet other climbers from around the Sydney area and join them for climbing trips. Details can be found on our website.
Members of the Rockies have access to a large number of club resources including discounted guidebooks, an active email list, a monthly climbing newsletter (Thrutch) and an extensive library.
The Rockies contributes to improving climbing access for the crags in the Sydney area, with regular crag clean ups and a re-bolting fund.
The club meets on the first Wednesday of every month. To find out about upcoming meetings please visit the meetings page. The Rockies believe that climbing should be open to everyone, and so all of our meetings are open to anyone, members or non-members. Meetings don’t cost a thing so turn up, meet some new (and old) friends and get the latest news on climbing and anything remotely related to climbing.
